Renic? He’s a well known third strike player (Alex) and he was active in early events for this game (Cross Assault reality show…thing, Cross Counter Invitational where he got infinited…rough) <br><br>He’s super smart with his grappler set-ups. I desperately want him to pre-script his videos, though. His extemporous speaking drives me nuts, for some reason. <br>
Okay, so I’m just popping in with a quick tidbit of knowledge, whether it be already known or not.
While playing around with fake step kicks (ie step kicks with no forward dash,) I found out that it’s actually at least +5 on hit regardless of the dash.
This could be a case of obvious knowledge to veteran Abel players in SF4, but wow, it’s incredibly helpful in this game versus characters with 3f normals. It means you can still get boost combo confirms off a step kick that’s not followed up with dash, while still keeping you away from the danger of 3f moves if they happen to block. Hell, you’ll probably get jab whiff punishes if they’re mashing out 3f normals
