Do “Shoryuken-Ripoff” moves (like Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut, for example) count toward the Shoryuken theme, or does it have to be a genuine SRK?
I’ll ok certain ripoff moves.
Anything with the word “shory” in it like shoryu-reppa, shin shoryuken, sakura’s sho-sho-sho, shoryu-cannon, etc. is allowed.
However, you can’t just use a character who has a shoryuken-like move like Tiger Uppercut and say, “Sagat’s doing a shoryuken!” He’s not. He’s doing a tiger uppercut.
On the other hand, if you had some strange character, like say Yogi Bear, or even a char who doesn’t normally do jumping uppercuts, like Guile or E. Honda, doing an uppercut, you COULD say “Yogi’s doing a shoryuken!” See the difference?
Remember though, the theme is “shoryuken.” You can take that to mean the move, or you can take it to mean the site. Any references to srk.com, #srkgd, or whatever else will also be accepted. Of course, you can always just include the word “shoruken” or abbreviation “SRK” somewhere in the av.
…seriously.

I think you’ve just eliminated all of my creative ideas…
So wait, you all wanted to do tiger uppercuts?
Run your ideas by me in a PM. I’m pretty open to rule-bending in most cases.
