Don’t sweat it. It’s obvious that my T&A entry wasn’t creative. Making avs is a hit and miss, and as you can see from the final score that my av got, it showed how much of a miss it was. Originally I was going to edit the enlarged background images so that they were clean highres sprites, but I didn’t have the time to follow up with that plan, and took a risk by adding the blurriness in. I tried to pass it off as a lava lamp type of effect, like Punkus described.
Thanks for the generous compliment on the Naruto avs though.
Sorry ppl didn’t think my AV was “creative” = /… It was my first entry so I tried something I’m used to… It did take a while to change the hair colour and edit out the bat wings since it would have looked chopped off if I kept them… I know it’s nothing spectacular, but I didn’t know we were supposed to make something witty or funny = P… oh well, better luck next time >__^

yes, i gave my prizes up. that’s what i was originally going to do anyhow, but me winning anything was so up in the air this time it was crazy.
In graphic design, I like to do image manip. Taking a picture and turning it into something completely different and make it seem as much as a natural an occurance as possible. Making you believe it was live.
When people actually think that what I made was just a stock picture, to me that’s a huge compliment. But at the sametime, that sort of hurts me as far as ABCs are concerned, because some people judge on different criteria.
Sometimes I make designs that are flashy, sometimes I don’t.
Most importantly though, I try to have anything i design look solid or as solid as possible. There weren’t any glaring mistakes in my entries(like jaggies, discolorations, jumping frames, etc.), and I had figured that that wouldve been one of the biggest judging points, because that’s something that can appear to be an objective basis for judgement than just 100% opinion. Because opinion alone is random collectively, because we all aren’t the same.
I actually can’t even point out clearly what I’m trying to say.
