Alright, unlocked the Beekeeper finally. Barbarian was actually pretty good against the final bosses, almost as good as the buzzsaw knights. The only difference is that buzzsaws are instant and the arrows/projectiles from Barbarian’s group have a slight delay so you have to time them to get the most from them.

Anyway, Beekeeper has some kind of aerial projectile that drops from the sky.

Gonna eat first and level his magic up really quick to see exactly what he does.

oh, so that cool “dark knight” with the wings(*but no wings when played by a person, it seems) is unlockable? Pic-> http://www.playmagazine.com/index.php?fuseaction=SiteMain.showGamePage&Game_ID=858

To answer some questions/problems:

Equipment:

Equipment/Items carry over to an extent. You don’t have to find all the animal orbs or weapons again, but you do have to get the compass, wheel, telescope, treasure map and horn again. You keep the boomerang, shovel and bow/arrow.

You won’t be able to use the weapons in the blacksmith until you are the appropriate level though - the red number in the corner. I think the highest necessary level is 20, which you can get by just getting to the catfish or bat and doing the exp glitch.

As far as unlocking guys for finishing the game:

You have to beat EVERY level. If you team up with someone who is on the boss in a co-op game and you beat him, you will not unlock a character. Each character has to physically go through the entire game and win every level in order to unlock another character.

Losing EQ:
Happened to someone else I was playing with online. I dunno, it’s random. Sucks that it happens, but he lost the navigation items to get further in the game and all his gold/animals as well. I felt bad for the guy. The game is glitchy, that’s what happens when you port Flash projects over to XBL I guess.

And something tells me that you’re either going to get the King or the “Dark Knight” unlocked after beating the game with every character. I know something awesome will get unlocked for that though.

Meh, Beekeeper is nothing special really. Maybe after I get it maxed out I’ll see what the deal is, but right now it’s just a bunch of bees falling in a row in a straight line. No status effects or anything special. Kinda pissed actually since I wasted all that time beating the game with Barbarian for nothing.

Edit/Update: Just maxed out Beekeeper’s magic - Nothing special as suspected from when I first touched him. His bees fall in a straight line and he gets outclasses in one way or another by many other classes.

Buzzsaws hit more times for more damage and are on screen longer. Saws can also hit multiple opponents while the bees can only hit one.

Red’s attack can hit multiple enemies as well and has about the same range.

Blue’s attack is pretty much idential to this except it freezes also.

I dunno where you got info with people saying Beekeeper has one of the best magic’s because it’s mediocre at best. Add in the fact that Lightning/Buzzsaws are instant and Bees take a moment to drop and you basically have another useless character.

Also when I logged back in and lost my gold my inventory was empty too. That includes the bow and arrow but picked it up from another thief.

Beat the game with the thief again making sure I checked if all the levels were done. I unlocked the forest knight his magic seems be vines I have no idea if they add status or not. I’ll probably try it out on multiplayer tonight if I can find a game. His starting stats are +0 attack, +5magic,-2 defense,+3 speed. I am wondering if all the unlocked characters have different stats or maybe his main weapon has those bonuses attached to them. The knights you start out with in the game have no bonuses at level 1.

That sucks Calcal.

Anyone wanna help me get my Blue Knight up to the bat on insane? He’s level 55,(first character, bad build, weakest out of all my chars I’ve beaten the game with… even some of my level 30’s. I put too many points into agility and the only thing maxed out is Magic is believe. I just need help getting to the cave so I can glitch the bat and go on an insane run later with some people.

Insane unlocks nothing…just a gold skull. Bleh.

Give us the Dark Knight! And I don’t mean Batman! Although…that would be cool too.

I’m putting money on 5000 Decapitations = unlockable char

.

Yeah the Beekeeper is horrible, I was so excited to finally unlock him only to find out that he has nothing unique or worthwhile. His magic is bad compared to the elemental knights / buzzsaw so eh. I’ll just beat insane with my Blue Knight and start up a Mecha knight guy after that.

Sorry BoringRyu, I had just beat the game when you invited me so I’m tired of playing at the moment.

Surprising…I’m liking my Red knight a little more than Green now…heh, another flip flop. I’ve fully upgraded his magic…he’s just stupidly powerful now. The b-magic shot does 70 points of damage on most regular enemies. “Force Lightning”(RT-y) holds enemies of course…less damage but still…they can’t do shit while locked down by the lightning bolt…and it keeps shaving off 13 or 14 points of damage per hit within the bolt.

I’ve found that the ram is a bad choice for Red guy since that little bastard will actually save your enemies from the lightning bolt by knocking them out of it. Anyway, that’s a hellified combo there…to have enemies completely immobilized AND taking damage at the same time. haha…so ridiculous…I love it.

I don’t think it’s a very multiplayer-friendly character though…isn’t it hard for other players to get hits/experience if Red Knight is played to full potential of that lightning cheapness? I was playing with another SRKer “Mr. Mort” yesterday and wasn’t being nearly as cheap with that on the enemies as I could’ve been. Ohhh good times. I love this game so much. My Red is 30 now, Green knight still 25, Orange just at 13…still haven’t played Blue yet.

Million, send me a FR >_>

I got to get around to leveling Red, now that my Blue is 65 and Green is 28. I wish to play online, but the matchmaking sucks.

I change my mind on the BeeKeeper… he’s pretty damn good since I played in a real run with him a bit.

Gonna try and unlock the ninja next, but I think I’ll end up beating the game with the Eskimo cuz he’s the next furthest along.

Well, got hominid to insane mode (lv.22), if anyone wants to play it or just want to play a normal game with new characters send a FR.

Sorry Chachi, first night of play and I was afk out of all things…

It’s cool, I haven’t been able to get to my 360 in a couple of days, and already people have left me in the dust. Wish I could make time for doing shit like that…

sort of, they can always steal kills while the enemies are stuck in force lightning. i played a run through the game with wildkitty’s red knight and i leveled up just fine.
he’s not multiplayer friendly in the sense he will always win in the pvp fight after bosses though

im not liking my green dude that much, he’s not exactly bad (level 51 now) but its more like he doesnt have anything abusable. his mid-tier status becomes apparent when fighting the big guy who shits out 923904890283908423 little guys in the forest level. im probably going to level someone else with an abusable attack (ie, no knockdown RT+Y). who else other than red knight and industrialist have something like this? is blue any good with the freezing?

i still need to unlock a bunch of chars, so ill still be going through normal mode a lot.

oh yeah if anyone wants to take me to the bat boss on insane i would greatly appreciate it :lovin:

beat the game with the Icekimo and got the “Brute”

I don’t remember where in the game you face him, but he shoots big vines out of hte ground. Reminds me a lot of Sawblades to be honest. I dunno if it has the same hitting/damage potential on bosses/guys that don’t fall over, but it hits multiple targets and can be spammed just as much. Range might be a little shorter, I dunno. I’d have to compare, does decent damage though.

Yeah I think the red kight might be a little broken. Million pretty much pwned me in every pvp fight we had. All he had to do was just catch me once, and it was over, especially since I was fresh out of potions, but even if I had any, all he would have had to do was catch me in it 4 or 5 times, and it would have been ggpo. No worries, tho, still had a good time.

Can you tell me what you found about the beekeeper that makes him any good? Maybe I’m missing something but the little bit I played of him seemed pretty bad.
