A Dhalsim DVD Inspiration

I’m not trying to tell you how to play Anak as you already have your own play style with the character, so don’t misunderstand me there BoD. I’m posting what I think would make him a stronger character. His air comboxxsuper offers an easy 60-70pts of dmg alone, but I’m taking it a bit further to say one should learn to play his mummy curse into their game just as much as Mag players learn to incorporate the ROM into theirs. Do you disagree with trying to do this? Have you not been successful in your Anak play in doing so?

Tell me how much easier it would be for you to take out a team w/ Anak if you learned a set up that involved a GB into his mummy curse? If you knew such a set up, are you telling me you would not focus on it in competitive play? I’m thinking OCVing a team w/o meter. You seem to be thinking of handling one character w/ at least 2 meters or w/ at least 1 meter and a cross-up.

They are both vital tools in Anak’s game. Anak players should be able to make use of both. It appears that you do, so thanks for your contribution.

edit: Also, I think you misunderstand me in that I did not yet post how to play Anak as far as his poking, rush, and baiting game goes. I’m speaking more on Anak+assists specifically for his mummy curse atm. If you don’t like it, please just let me indulge myself and see where it goes. Thanks. :slight_smile:

just knowing about the mummy curse inf alone is enough…and if you have the assist to help, then go for it IF it hits. but what you originally said was to make it a priority…ROM and mummy curse are 2 way different things…same with random hyper gravs…don’t try comparing them.

guard break to launch to super to DHC kills a character pretty easily. yes there are setups for GB to curse…until I see it in higher level play than what gabe plays, it’s really just as effective as cyc’s guard break to infinite…which you don’t really see happening.

curse infinite= good if you manage to somehow catch it and have an assist, but not really needed and definately not a priority (both as you said). that’s all

patience lol I just figured out how to make Akuma’s Gou Shouryuu super do 78 pts of damage alone before DHC. That’s pretty much the same as his mashed Messatsu Gou Hadou. It also offers a better DHC for most moves (e.g., Storm’s Hail Storm, Sent’s HSF…)

sent drones should always be apart of an anak team IMO. not only is it a baller assist in it’s own right but you can infinite with it. i don’t see how you can go wrong with this drones if you’re using anak on point.

and anak shouldn’t be relying on the infinite, but obviously if you get 1 rep, it’s GG.
