We don’t talk about that anymore.
Sad times of reckoning, no homo romance, and BETRAYAL! :looney:
How many lives has the SRK Imperial Army lost on the battlefield? WE ARE HUMAN BEIIIIINGS!
You are dead to me now.

Ah…thats right! Thats how I met you (or knew of you) cause Unreal was like “This dude at Morgan who post of SRK got this pics from Brazil…”
I’ve been wanting to go there ever since…
fuck there are so many akumas over in the canadian provinces
shin akuma, shinakumax, shinakuma204, so gayyy
i wont lie… my first srk name back in 2001 was Akumanizer
so bad
Love you, Lantissssss! lol
I’m guessing it was 10x the funkachunkz that the Capcomunity takeover was because those guys started crying when Warlock started talking. Show respect this and that.
Back in 2001, my friend told me about this site when he use to play fighters. I hardly read the FGD section, but the GD section always kept me entertained over the years. I was 15 when I joined and now I’m 23. These years seem to go by fast.
With a name like that I definitely remember you. I didn’t know akumachan still posted anywhere though.
Do any of you guys remember a dude named “Tiamat” from the old days? I vaguely remember him being clowned on hard.
Oh yea, Bloody Youkai or whatever actually went to college with me, never talked to him though.
well she doesnt post as often but every so often she would appear. AkumaTX if im not mistaken had a tendency to post in the NFL Thread. I forgot about ShinAkuma but as stated only a few of the akumas still post.
Joined in August 2000, be lurkin ever since!
I remember the old school front page, with apex points and links to videos and tutorials. The tournament reports by omni and javi. US vs Japan 2000 scoreboard.
Was a different time back then, good ole 56k, remember being bored after school and browsing the forums was painfully slow, used to open up 10 threads in new windows and waited for them all the load lol.
Forums were different as well, more top players posted. I remember my first thread was asking how to do hyper grav xx tempest, and John Choi answered my question lol.
SRK is pretty much the only site I visit on a daily basis, thanks for 10 years of entertainment, and here’s to another 10!
will be 6 years come evo time. joined for mvc2, lurked, got drunk, and didnt post for a minute because i realized post less, read more made more sense. never really went into gd much until the last couple years where i started babblin more. was always in fgd and shit, and poked in gd here and there to catch random shit i can no longer remember. evo2k10 should be good shit, and hopefully we can take sbo next year too. i pretty much joined all my forums in 04, to which this is the only one i post in anymore.
Joined in 02. Outside of the forums been through alot of life changing experiences and alot of growing up, and my posting on the forums over the years kind of reflected that.
Sometimes I’d be on the forum for extended periods of time, and then leave for 3/4 of a year, and come back kind of different and more low key. I only wish that throughout the years, all posts were archived, so I could go back and even see some of my old posts and how I used to be/post. I’d probably flame myself.
A forum being around this long, it’s kind of like a written document of how you would view the world and things around you, each year.
I met a lot of cool and great people, and cool and great people came and went.
Big changes are a coming to the site in January! Its our anniversary baby!
I just got happy in the pants, you tease…
-DJ-
Can’t say I lurked for more than a week in Jan '01. Then the scrub that was me tried to argue the validity of Hayato in MvC2… yeah, I learned a lot since then.
I joined in early 05 after googling my gamertag, figuring someone would be calling me out for ragequitting in GGX2 #R for xbox. They were.
I remember the day the SF4 teaser trailer hit the net and SRK barely worked for a week afterward. Reading SRK the day that trailer hit…it was like the hype oozed into your body. It was infectious.
Lurked for a little bit before joining in 2006. Didn’t post much that first year. After trying out premium and liking it in 2007 I posted some more, but going away to the Army for basic training/job training stopped me posting for a while. Same followed from June '08 - May '09, didn’t post much since I was in Iraq. Since getting back to the States I’m here a lot more, especially now that I’m in the NBA/NFL threads a lot.
Don’t play fighting games any more…or video games for the matter. But why move to another forum? SRK GD is gdlk and I like being premium.
The thread I remember most fondly is when Son Them All got called out on his shit. Anyone have a link to that? It had everything: shocking revelations, hot cosplay bitches, inspired an av trend, and as always with SRK, hillarious, hillarious commentary. iirc it happened in '07 and really helped me realize what a unique forum this is.
SRK WE DA BEST! :rock
I SUPPORT THIS MOTION!
Gotta love how EVERYBODY lurked first.
I actively posted then lurked. :party:Congrats to the staff and thank you!
Word. Also, all the new guys (excluding the obvious trolls) are almost too nice. Somebody needs to register and tell us how free we are, just to get some fun going again.
Props to DarkCatalyst for turning me on to this site back in 2005. Wish I had found out about it sooner, I had given up on fighting games in 2000 because I didn’t think anybody else in town played anymore.
Thank you to the staff and administration for 10 years of info, entertainment, and bootyism.
Good times since 2004 when I got into MvC2. Still rockin low tier since then. I hope the SRK arcade comes back :’(
Well, I’m sure we’re all aware of what happens when people don’t lurk first, especially where GD is concerned. Lurking on SRK is kind of like making sure you have your guns before going to the gunfight.
