Ducky you gonna be at HBB tonight? I’ll stop by.
…I might be there, give me a call later or something to make sure.
Well, I dunno for sure either.
Gotta see if I got a ride down there.
Nojo got the tech to fix the fierce on the 2p side of MVC2.
I didn’t see the tech make any changes to the sticks.
Sup, playahz!
Just letting u all know dat I want to host a tourney at HBB’s, but the sticks are not in perfect order. Perhaps someone has an idea as to where we could host a tourney? Well, I’ll host a tourney as soon as things get fixed, and I’m willing to put money in again if needed cuz I wanna see some good calibur games.
laters playahz
JB Money: I don’t think HBb’s can be suitable place for a Marvel tourney. But on a side note
I asked the manager about several options and these are the responses he gave me.
-
I had asked about moving the MVC2 into the KOF98 cabinet. His respnse he said it can be done, because he remembered seeing the 6 button control panel tops somewhere.
Downside to this was, the monitors are old. Maybe PSX can confirm this, the monitors are the same since the cabinet was Alpha 1. -
I asked about buying a new control panel and starting from scatch.
Buying a new stand (the control panel part) costs 500-600 dollars before shipping, but shipping something that heavy is going to be costly. In addition, I think if MVc2 were a recent release now, then they’d probably be more inclined to do something.
- I also asked about switching one of the games with MVC2. By this I mean, trading a game like CVS2 for the MVC2. He said it probably might not help because the equipment is old.
I’m going to ask about trading the small cabinet board and wiring (if that is even possible as I don’t know a thing about joysticks, boards and stuff) into the big one as an alternative to buying all brand new stuff.
I’ll post up stuff, if anything can be done, or can be suggested.
Last time, I had to pull a Jeff, and ask every single employee if he (the manager) was working, who evidently asked me to see if his car was there (lol…which I did check for), which then led me to ask Pretzels to call him (lol…and he came out behind us), which led to him and Kyle using different switches and stuff.
See First Off I’m A Mu-Fuckin G And I’ll Never Let A Bitch theonometry me…Cause I’m A Hood Nigga…
Thanks for the help u put into making the gaming scene better, I just hope something good will come out of dis. Like I posted earlier, “I’m willing to put money in again if needed cuz I wanna see some good calibur games.” Also if you need some kind of help I’ll be most willing to do so.
Laters Shin!
does anyone know where a new Mvc2 board with full wiring harness can be bought and how much approx?
if anyone has website links or what please post up, thanks
Hi GN, you could try.
http://www.gamegod.com/
Which is a local company (or at least has a place here in Kapolei).
There number is (808)440-4150
Though they don't seem to have a machine right now. I did see one about a year and a half ago for 695 dollars USED unfortunately, however major savings would come from shipping.
Almost forgot that was the entire machine I think, the type at HBB’s but with the white instead of black trim.
I also think this might be a side business of HBB's Microworlds though.
Full naomi kit with MVC2.
The wiring harness I am guessing you mean the jamma adapter and kick harness are included in the full kit.
Gamegod.com is EK Fernandez/Fun Factory.
Not sure if they sell PCB/Jamma stuff solo but if your able to buy one you save on not having to have it shipped.
Hmm not sure if that was an alpha 1 cabinet before. I remember seeing Alpha 1 at HBB on the old dual screen side by side cabinet. The one where there was a extra tv on top of the cabinet and 2 mini cabinets where linked together. I could of sworn that cabinet was always a Slam Masters cabinet then later became a KOF cabinet. I think it changed around the time of KOF 98. Because 97 was on a small screen when I used to play KOF at HBB. But either way he is right. MVC2 can run on the KOF cabinet. Its a standard monitor 262x240 resolution and MVC2 also runs at 262x240.
This is a good idea. Im going to guess the problem is related to the kick harness or the jamma harness. If there willing to do a switch you might see some results. Assuming the wiring of both harness are done properly.
thanks Shin, i checked it out not too much as of this time
I have a few “investors” for a new-immaculate Mvc2 naomi board, (maybe even cabinet). a decent one can be found, I may pick it up.
if the players can vigorously look and find one, I/we have the funds for it, thanks shin and to all
i checked this link out showing a complete naomi Mvc2 board setup

I guess this concerns the marvel players.
I just got off the phone with Justin, he said they’re gonna replace the whole pedestal soon.
This is just what i was told. Im not sure when or if its going to be done.
I can donate some money, how much u need?
