So anyone going down to the HVGL tourney dis Saturday??
I am. LOL I got a couple of the cabs. Could you guys do some play testing for me? Let me know what needs to be fixed besides the monitor on the small MVC2 cab. We get to use the small ST machine, the Vampire Saior Cab and the small MVC2.
So please guys, test the sticks and buttons on those cabs. And give me an update, as Justin said anythign thats wrong he’ll fix. I am gonna run ST in the showroom cab. I dont think i can move MVC2 to it due to that bar in the way. Makes the hand hurt when you try and move from side to side on the buttons lol
So in short i get to insert or take out anything from those 3 cabs. I was thinking that if the showroom cab works well enough we could quick switch the games. And yes we are recording the cab.
um. So yeah please help a brotha out.

Entry Fee:
The entry fee is 48oz of canned food. This will get you into one tournament of your choice. Every other tournament you enter is $10.
If you do not bring canned food then your entry fee is $20 and this does not include tournament fees with one tournament it is $30.
The following foods are preffered in this order.
- Canned Meats (Spam, Tuna)
- Canned Meals (Spaghetti, Corned Beef Hash)
- Canned Soups
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Fruits

Game Formats:
ALL GAME FORMATS CAN BE CHANGED BASED ON POPLUAR DEMAND AND OR IF A MINIMUM QOTA OF 8 PLAYERS IS NOT MET.
All fighting games have a 32 man tourney cap. If we get more players we will hold preliminaries of 1 match to narrow the brackets do to time constraints.
Also do to time constraints games will be Single Elimination best 2/3 matches advances. Finals will be 4/7.
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike: Gill and Shin akuma are banned.
Capcom Vs. SNK 2: God rugal, shin akuma, evil ryu, and orochi iori are banned.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Akuma is banned.
Call of Duty 4: Is a 4 player free for all. The top 2 from each match advances. We will be using the smaller maps with stock weaponry.
Super Smash Bros Brawl: 4 player battle royale, no items, and 3 stock. Top 2 advance.
To make sure you are in the brackets sign up early. We will take the first sixteen players and put them in the brackets without preliminaries. SO REGISTER WITH ME EARLY!!! IF YOU WAIT YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR YOUR SPOT. SO BRING YOUR BEST!!!
PRIZES:
There will be prize packs made, with prizes from cookie corner, VG addict, Razor concepts, and EVO Dvds from SRK as well as plaques from the trophy house.
WE ENCOURAGE PLAYERS TO BRING THIER OWN CONTROLLERS AND ARCADE STICKS. THERE WILL BE SOME AVAILABLE TO USE AT THE VENUE.
THIS EVENT WILL BE RECORDED AND IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SIGNED A WAIVER YOU MUST SIGN ONE.

If you attend this event and bring the 48oz of food this counts as a community service event and nets you 20 League points as well as any Tournament points you earn.
If you attend and pay the money only, you get Tournament points you earn.

Hawaii Marvel Players, even though its been a couple weeks now since ive been back (cali), I wanted to say thank you all for the welcoming hospitality. Hopefully I entertained all of you with Ironman and even more so, shown you his capabilities. It was really nice to see everyone show up and support the tourny. Thanks to ofcourse rawb, luc, dubz, spice, jb, dj and all the others I met.

Hey just wondering, does anyone play on that ST machine at HBB? Whenever I go, no one is playing at all. The cab is not that great though so I can understand.
Yo man you still play online? I haven’t seen you on in a while.
Anyway, about 2 - 3 other guys beside myself play it – but no one plays just ST exclusively; more like in between sets in other games we’ll play a few. I think your best bet is to come down on a Fri/Sat night. (That ST cab does suck though. lol)

Yea I haven’t played too much online in a while, but I am getting a stick sometime soon so I’ll probably play more 
St cab has some great buttons, with the square gate and ass button placement on 2nd player and the two sticks being too close to each other. Had to squeeze my ass last time I was there playing some one.
Actually, I walked by the tournament on the day because my friend and I were going to play pool. I shook my head when I saw the tournament and the fee :shake:

Wang or Pretzels, is it possible to have Justin change the 3rd Strike/Alpha 3 cabinet into a 2nd player ST cabinet.
LOL...you guys know what's funny, when we had one marvel machine it was always broken, now that we have four, all of them are always broken. What is it with marvel cabinets always being broken.
