It maybe easier if you get with 3 other people and then buy something together for the HVGL staff since getting everyone to pay up would be pretty hard. They still have an incomplete set of equipment like a dreamcast stick or a copy of CVS2. Neko would appreciate if you got him a lot of other things, since he pretty much has a $5,000 hole in his wallet and makes $0 per event.
Yesterday his Xbox 360 got the “red ring of death.” This is apparently the 2nd time it happened to him too. His Xbox 360 is also the Halo3 limited edition one too!
He was mentioning about needing a Dreamcast Joystick so I went over to Toys n Joys to buy it in advance so he can pay me back later but decided I would just donate it. I also let him borrow my copy of CVS2 for all the events (since I have it on my PS2 HDLoader.)
HVGL or pretty much Neko is not asking for any money from anyone. So instead of just taking and leaving, give him support of any kind like come early to set up or stay back to close up. Donate stuff you don’t need or sell it for really cheap for Neko. Ducky sold his old joystick box, PSX donated his joystick that won all kinds of tournaments for CVS2, and I donated my Dreamcast joystick I bought straight from Toys N Joys.
GOLDN-NZ, did you bring that awesome pallet changed MVC2? I want a copy! I can either pay for it or trade it for another Dreamcast game I might have on my computer.
GG for all the people I played Halo 3, Brawl, 3S, MVC2, and GGXX. I only remembered a few names but they were Ducky, Leviathan, DJB, jiggbry, Kimo Kata, and Neko.
if your talking about that custom mcv2, that was prolly an edition from me, took a good 100hrs of “photo shop time” to edit those colors decently. on av cables, characters look mediocre. on s-video its a step up, but on vga, shit bee truly crisp n nice. but yes i can hook you up with that edition. maybe if you could get ahold of another dreamcast agetec controller that’ll be tite since i only use the pcb for custom sticks :bgrin:
I could try to get another one from TnJ for $70 (if it’s okay with my boss since it’s actually $80-$90) but if you’re asking me to trade your game for it, that’s a little too much.
Edit: Well you see $70 is very hard to come by for me. I donated that agetec stick to help support the HVGL. I don’t even own a stick even though I’m planning on getting one some time in the future. Anyway, I won’t be able to afford $70 for a while.
