My dream is to hold a Major in Hawai’i; wait let me rephrase that, I will hold a Major in Hawai’i sometime in the future.
I’ve already promised this to the Tekkenites, and I’m going to say it here, because the more I say it the more motivated I will be to push the process. Don’t expect it soon, because my first goal is to rebuild the Tekken scene…but it will happen. It would be great to have the support of the SF community, because frankly your scene is well beyond ours at this time, both in size and in skill level.
Hawai’i would be the perfect location for a Major. Who wouldn’t want to escape the mainland or Korea/Japan. Hell…flying here is 6 hours closer to the orient.
Just keep up the good work, building up your scene. Produce more high quality players so we have more draw. We already have Wang, Kyle, etc. So it’s a nice base.
After I get all my pieces into place I’ll put together a 501©(3) organization for tax exemption to fundraise and run the event through. A non-profit that will make the now defunct HVGL look like a kid with a lemonade stand (PS they still owe me a HRAP3SA Arcade Stick). I’ll be frank, I don’t give a fuck about the food bank or helping homeless people. I’m a businessman, and my non-profit will be run that way. It’ll take a lot of clout and money to get the likes of Daigo, JWong and Nin/Knee/Holeman down here…so it won’t be easy.
I’m sure 95% of you are reading this and laughing, and saying outloud that theres no way I can do this. Doubt me, it’ll give me more motivation to succeed.

Wow so much has happened in one day!
First I’d like to comment on the new tier list. I’ve been saying that I thought Chun-li was the best character in the game since vanilla and she has finally gotten her due. The one thing I don’t agree w/ is the way characters can be boosted by being favored against weak characters. For example, E. Honda is considered tied for the top character as far as tiers are concerned. But, if you look closely Honda loses 7-3 to chun, 6-4 to guile, ryu, sagat, seth, and dhalsim. All major tournament characters! The rest of the tournament characters he is 5-5 with minus bison, gief, viper, in which he is favored 6-4. Where he gets his points is from a bunch of 7-3 matchups w/ the bottom tier characters.
I also feel like there are a few errors as far as Honda Matchups go based on what characters Akimo has been knocked out of tournaments by, the collective thoughts of myself, and speaking w/ a few other Honda players.
Eventhub ranking of Akuma/Honda (5/5) I’m gonna say that this is 6-4 in Akuma’s favor (we’ll see how Wang weighs in on that)
Eventhub ranking of Honda/Blanka (6/4) I’d have to say that this match is a nightmare for blanka, 7-3 Honda
Eventhub ranking of Dhalsim/Honda (6/4) At low very this is very realistic, but against a good sim this is gonna be in gief/seth territory. 7-3 Sim borderline 8-2.
Eventhub ranking of Ken/Honda (5/5) After facing some really good Kens at evo, and watching Mike Ross get very lucky against Dr. Chaos, i’m gonna have to say this has got to be 5.5 ken if not 6.
Eventhub ranking of Honda/Cody (6/4) This makes me wonder who made these tier lists and if they have any idea what they are talking about. This match is very even or definitely in Cody’s favor.
The rest is pretty solid, but I think the match between vega, deejay, and ibuki can be even as well. With that said, it puts Honda more around the 186 mark. Somewhere between balrog and cammy would be appropriate. Anyway just of my thoughts/rants.

@ crimzon - I agree whole heartedly about having a major, hell even a regional would be cool, do your thang, we’ll all be waiting I’m sure, its nice to see other people willing to step up to provide for the fighting scene, too bad I haven’t touched tekken since tag lolz
Honda vs Akuma is definitely in Akuma’s favor. However, I wouldn’t go as far as 6-4. Maybe 5.5 ish.

Just watched the new MvC3 gameplay footage with the new characters. Super Skrull opened up with an air combo, into an OTG move into level 1 super for 3/4 damage on Chun. What the fuck.
