Do the dust covers fit on a LS-40 or any other Seimitsu shafts?
I doubt it but that would be a slick request. Don’t know about the demand or the minimum they would need to get a batch done. I would be down for some LS-32 shaft covers.
Don’t LS-40s already have colored dust covers?
I know I had one in red and I’ve seen one in green…
This.
Just got my shipping notice for my arcade parts order. Should arrive tomorrow, gotta love Cali shipping!
Yeah they do. Mine is yellow. Reason I ask is because if I order a yellow dust/shaft cover won’t the colors be off from the one on my LS-40?
We appreciate that. Thanks Mark.
Got my keychain and order, thanks Markman and Madcatz.
Same here, got my TE-S & KeyChain.
wth. you guys do all the fastest processing/shipping?!
my order is still " in progress "
Yes, I received my stuff like eight hours ago.
It was fast!
Would be slick, but less likely. Probably would have to see a Seimitsu-based TE to really get this. Which would be pretty slick in itself. Dunno what to call it. Might convince Seimitsu users to but more TEs.
Another thing would be TE shells separate from parts, and Madcatz selling buttons, custom artworks, bezels, the whole works. After all, anyone could install some OBSFs with a JLF and call it a day. Sell them premounted with octagonal gates, allow the non-modding community to customize, mix and match, etc, and the modding community to buy shells to put their custom parts into. Madcatz could sell Sanwa parts at a premium cost because non-modders wouldn’t think twice about “unofficial” parts. Modders would rejoice, because the shells would cost less to buy, but hardcore seimitsu fans don’t have to throw out the JLF and quality Sanwa pushbuttons. Or could score cutom OBSFs. Lots of possibilities. Perhaps add the custom as an “online special”. “Customize your stick with your choice of buttons, artwork, bezel, layout, and get it shipped straight to your door.” Charge an upfront for the assembly and customization, and a purchaser keeps their warranty. However, shipped for a “DIY assembly” comes with only the case, and optional buttons, and joystick, if ordered, as well as instructions, but no warranty, because the case is already “open,” so to speak.
And although modders would prolly not search to madcatz for their every pushbutton and joystick, madcatz still profits by selling either just the case, as well as the sticks being higher, AND assembly. Why do I make such speculations? Look at how many unmodded TEs were on stream today! I was actually surprised at how few modified versions were there (considering there’s THOUSANDS of them), and how many fewer customs were there. I’m sure hardcore players would love a custom stick, but never realized how easy the modification process is. End result? Madcatz does the “heavy lifting” for you, and profits!
Of course, this is just a suggestion, up for debate. Arguably won’t catch on to people who want to save money, but this just shows how diverse madcatz feels for these. I mean, 13 colors is no small feat, and there are still a ton of home players who are completely unaware.
Maybe somebody feels what I’m sayin’. :3
why can’t i ship to PO boxes
Lucky, mine is only coming July 14th
I heard Markman talking about a blue Chun-li TE yesterday in the stream. Are there pics anywhere (I don’t have time to look my work break is over)?
IIRC, Seimitsu sells colored dust covers. I have a red one on my LS-56. On the other hand, a I managed to make a JLF dust washer fit on my LS-56 without any modding. In other words, you could match a seimitsu shaft cover with a madcatz dust washer and that might do the trick for you.
I love my LS-56 too much.
they just showed it off on the evo stream right now. translucent blue casing.
ahhh the gameshark store site isnt working!! necesito la camiseta del madcatz!
Thanks. When I first heard about the stick I figured it’d be irresistible, but I’m not so sure now. I’ll have to see more pics of it. I’m not crazy that it’s the S version, but it does have a bezel so that’s definitely a plus. I guess pricing and availability will be determining factors.
Pics can’t truly do the Chun stick justice. The casing itself is sexy as hell, translucent high quality plastic that just feels great. The deep blue color is just gorgeous. The surface also feels really nice, kind of like one of those 3D lenticular cards or something. Subtle texture as opposed to a completely smooth sheet.
I’m not a huge Chun fan, but the stick is really nice and I would have broken down and bought one on the spot at Evo (except they aren’t for sale yet anywhere - just some demo units at Evo).
The one caveat - you have to like blue. You can swap out all the buttons, sticks, and artwork you want… but it’s pointless to try to paint this stick, especially with the special plastic. Just get a regular TE if you want a color other than blue.
Did they announce when the Chun stick would be available for purchase? I’m not really a fan of the artwork but I love the blue case with white turbo panel.
