I dont know where you got that idea but 3S teams being random is like a ritual. Not gonna change. It’s the only way that really works any ways.
Oh and nothing’s gonna start at 1 except registration. They just want you there sooner so things can start to roll more quickly. Peepz like always wont start showing till 3 or 4. If this was Evo people would be calling taxis to get there by 1 or 2…but it’s not so yeah. Honestly…I wonder how we’re gonna have time for all of this. Running the regular tourneys one at a time should help and I guess we’ll have to use the downtime for teams.

If that’s the case, what’s the point of playing them round robin? The only reason people really join random teams is the hope that you’ll just wind up on a beast-ass team, and won’t have to do anything. If it’s actually gonna be based on skill, why make it random?

When people get there. Like 5 or 6 o clock would be a good estimate. Things are trying to get run quickly this time around but if people are going to show the same time they always do…then yeah you can come like after 4 or 5 o clock and still have a good shot of being in the 3S tourney.
So it sounds like teams are going to be a mix of random and round robin events. Random teams but teams play round robin style.

Funny thing is…I dont think we’ve ever posted schedules for individual games. I mean…stuff happens when stuff happens. CVS2 starts when the Bmore guys come out. They’re literally a time clock for starting that game. Steve might have to get thrown in losers cuz he’s occasionally super late but he still runs stuff. 3rd Strike…this time it’s going to be when J.Wong and the majority of the rest of the scene is there. There isn’t one specific time that CVS2, 3S, Marvel or any game starts. It’s really more so a matter of trying to get things done before it gets too late.
Basically…if you dont want to miss a tourney come out ASAP. I’ll let Robin give a more official word but in general…just bring yoself to C3 as soon after 1 o clock as you can.

This shit starts at 1PM. Simple. Individal games will be run at specific time intervals, a la Evo. Robin already posted the probable order. Since we’re starting with Smash, I’ll probably show up around 2-2:30.
Don’t fucking show up at 5 or 6, and expect to get into whatever game you’re trying to play. You will have missed games by then, guaranteed.
I’ll be running CvS2, and I can assure you, no matter who you are, I’m not waiting for shit. If I call your match, and you don’t show… DQ.
There is a lot to run this time, and it’s already been made pretty damn clear that things will be run differently this time, so plan accordingly.
yeah i don’t wanna show up and have to watch games like smash and GG. I dunno, it seems like this might run pretty late especially with the additions of the team tournies. how long does the typical C3 tourney run? if this is gonna run too late i might not bother showing up.
