P.S- If you’re thinking about playing something, just play it. I don’t know what all the thinking’s about. You’re never gonna get better if you don’t play in situations agaisnt players playing their best. I really don’t even see the point of coming out if not for that.
Plus if this is gonna run Evo style, you’re gonna be basically forced to watch the game you choose not to participate in, even though you play it.
EDIT- Wait… didn’t I get a perfect in the last match against Eric Kim in A2? Hmmm… it seems my wins were convincing, and my losses were pretty close. Sandbagging to keep it close maybe?

It’s up to you whatever you wanna do but if you wanna learn to play you have to play against competition that’ll force you to learn. You can’t be ready for 3S or A2 or any game by playing around in training mode or against your buddy who wont punish any of your mistakes. You get ready by understanding how you get beat in a situation where it matters. Which basically means throwing your money down on a tourney and ask questions during any casuals you play.
Besides…Alpha 2 isn’t a terribly difficult game to play and you can play it against virtually anyone via GGPO’s online server. That’ll help you to at least get an idea of what to do before the tourney. 3S is difficult at first but mainly because of learning how to manage meter with your EX’s and obviously parries and then from there it’s understanding the mind games and the advanced stuff. Most of the other stuff in the game is stuff you can understand by playing just about any other SF game.
Yeah…you looked hella beat on Sat. I know the feeling though. I only had like 3 hours of sleep going into that G2Expo tourney in NC. I’m not even sure how I was able to even play correct.
