iMac … 20 inch… 1 GB Ram… 2.0 dual core… + ipodnano and 250 gb hd… and a 2gb ipod nano… 1859… as the nano is free…a nd there is a student discount (which also gets you the nano)… so apparently the prices liste are WITH taxes… that’s a damn good deal.

Whoever decided to make those prize games you see at movie theatres is the greatest person ever. Not only have I won DVD’s off those games just for puting a loonie in, they now have ridiculous prizes in the ‘stacker’ version of these games.
Flashback to 2 weeks ago. I come out of Clerks 2 at the AMC, around 1 am, and see the stacker game has an unusual set of top prizes.
1 - a 5.1 megapixel polaroid digital camera
2 - a gameboy advance
3 - an Ipod Shuffle
4 - Virgin cell phone
Lord. I had played this game before and the top prizes were DVD’s. The machine was closed down I guess because it was so late. I vowed to come back and play that shit because I NEEDED a mp3 player.
So back to yesterday…I decided to spend some money on that game and was determined to get the IPOD. I played about 5 or 6 games and lost on the last block almost everytime. The last block is pretty fucking tough. I take a break and my girlfriend realizes a trick to the game. I realize that this trick would double my chances of getting the last block so I quickly play again. First try I fuck up and couldn’t set the trick up and had to attempt the last block again and lost. There’s like 10 people watching me and this guy starts telling me I have this down I just have to relax. He pretty much coaches me throughout my next attempt making sure I’m relaxed and not rushing (apparently he supports turtling, not rushdown). This time I win and choose my prize.
I fucking IPOD Shuffle for like 10$. I didn’t even know the new ones were 512MB…
I tried played again to win the digital camera and some kids gave me there loonie so I could win them a cell phone but again I failed on the last block (failing to set up the trick).
These games have given me so much…I’ve spent a total of maybe 20$ on them in my lifetime and have gotten Episode 3, Batman Begins, Team America and an IPOD Shuffle out of it.
Those games are fixed, we have that at work. I’m sure you know that they are payout games. For example they have to reach a certain amount of money played before you can win. So they can “make” money. Either you got lucky, or they didn’t even setup the machine right. Other then that, good job on winning.
Yea they are all set to a 1 in whatever odds of winning.
But the block stacker one would be very tricky to fix and pretty much obvious up until the major prize. It’s not a one shot try game either…you have to get it right like 15 times in a row or something.
All I know is that its a block that moves side to side and when I press stop, it stops. If you watch me play it’s obvious I’m in control of everything. Well anyone would be. Every mistake is clearly me hitting it too late or too early…you can tell. But this is up until the very last block which obviously can be set to skip a block because it’s so fast. The trick I used helps a lot and if it simply denies you what you pressed while doing this it will be soo obvious.
None the less it’s probably best to play every once in a while so the machine can gain losses.
Regardless those machines take people’s money and you still have to hit it correctly. So as long as it’s maintaining the ratio you’re fine. I took the last IPOD too so people had been winning it quite often (really who knows what it’s set at)

The settings are not fixed. It’s defaulted at 1 in 400 ODDS of winning. It’s likely a speed setting because it states in the manual “As this is a skill game the win rate is only the approximate rate for each difficulty setting”. Skill based game is gooood. I will continue to play this and test it out some more.

Wtf is the major differences of CE,hyper,etc.
I play SF2.
WW: slow, the base 8 characters, no reversals, limited movesets for each character. Properties of moves were also different. CPS1 chains
CE: Super slow, added the 4 bosses. reversals in this game, CE bison and CE guile own the entire cast for free. CPS1 chains
HF: aka. street fighter 2 turbo. New moves, chun li gets fireball, blanka gets vertical ball, shotos get air hurricanes. Top tier is something like guile, ryu, blanka, honda, sagat. CPS1 chains
SSF2: Never played this version, but this is when they added, T hawk, Fei, Deejay and Cammy (who are all pretty low tier, well except for Deejay). I don’t think CPS1 chains are in this game.
ST: The last SF2, no cps1 chains. New moves, a lot of new properties for moves compared to HF. supers. storing move glitch. old versions of all the characters. limited juggling.
ST and HF are the most popular. HF is on 360. There’s also no good port of ST.
Fuck ports we should just play these games on MAME or some other emulator( I don’t know what is good now since I haven’t touched that shit in 3 years)
