Honestly, these kind of things can be said about any tournament. The tourny was run perfect imo, the ONLY thing I would change if I could was either a bigger room or a fucking fan

As far as the room being small, sometimes you have to just find whatever is available to avoid charging a venue fee. We had a bigger lecture hall we were going to use, but it was taken up by a lecture at 4pm. So we made do with what we had, including having to share the building with those LARPers and whatever fucking freaky cat tail thing was sticking out of that one chickās ass. Do not want.
needless to say, I improvised and it was acceptable room size, just wish the AC worked correctly lol.

I would like to say thank you for hosting this tournament and giving us the opportunity to travel. Tigerlee actually just got married a few weeks ago and his wife is away for a bit and it gave him a chance to travel before he disappears never to be seen again.
This tournament was indeed run extremely quickly. The university campus is extremely beautiful. The room which the tournament was held in was too small in my opinion but I heard that it was a forced last-minute-change. It was also way too stuffy in that room but an air conditioned hallway was literally a few steps away.
The tournament itself was a blast. Josh vs JS was exciting. Josh was the perfect example of why Seth should be banned. LOL! It was a great day. Iāve never seen someone steal his own camera before.
It was great seeing Glory again after what I believe to beā¦4-5 years? Keep playing, brother. And keep pretending to be Korean. You might as well convince people youāre MrFantastic/DjJazzyJeff3000. Your match with JS was close.
A word of constructive advice to Akazukin ChaCha (whatever your name is. I normally go by screen names), if people are going to your even for the main purpose of a Street Fighter game (eg; SF4), you need another tournament for them to join because of the long wait times. My main game is Third Strike but if you had put any other game that had Ryu in it, i would have joined it. People need something to do in between matches other than stand around. MvC2. CvS2. Fucking Gem Fighter. NES bootleg SF2 ([media=youtube]oob5_bxHBjw[/media]). I would have joined ANYTHING that i had the slightest idea how to play. You would have definitely had a larger turnout and more out of towners. Iām just taking this from a competitorās standpoint and a logical one. You might want to take that into consideration for the next tournament. Hell, run it next Saturday and I guarantee you weāll come again and weāll even bring more people. Iāve got no clue how hard it is to run a tournament and I salute all the energy you put into the tourney. (EDIT: Another piece of advice, next time equipment goes missing and you threaten to cancel the tournament, just shut that shit down, man. I donāt think anyone would have blamed you. We just would have gotten pissed at the dude who stole his own camera. LOLOL!!!)
btw, ExMatt vs JayWang was exciting as hell. Matt can back up the fact that I was cheering for both of them but I was definately more on his side. It was an exciting game which was extremely back and forth and it finished off with what i remember to be:

Weāll have more games in the future C-royd. Haha itās not like you couldnāt play SC4 (which ran at the same time) or BB casuals, it was just your preference not to. 3S and CvS2 are pretty dead in Buffalo, as is GuiltyGear, so I removed them and focused on games I knew we had people for, I will continue to do it that way, and I know I canāt please everyone. BUT, I am open to adding games we can guarantee at least 12 people for. I have run plenty of tournaments before, and I know what it takes to get out of towners, this was a very ālow hypeā event, on purpose, lol.
It was not my intention to make this a huge tourney, since I knew I didnāt have the facilities, equipment or personnel on hand to help me run it correctly, so I was forced to stay within my means, and I give props to my crew for lugging out their TVs and systems to help this go faster. For the next Rumble I will definitely secure a room that will be more than the right size for a big turnout.
The camera was found, and he apologized for causing the alarm, which was good enough in my book. A tourney organizer canāt be responsible for players who leave their expensive equipment laying around to be snatched, though the reason I checked everyone was because I knew most of these people, and would be able to tell if something was up, and the room was small enough to where I could see everyone moving around. So we dealt with it as best we could.
Thanks to the canadians that did come and made this a great event, I hope to see more of you next time, and weāll work on getting more games and maybe some other people to help run brackets.

I absolutely agree with you. The camera was found. But letās just say that it was never found and you shut the tournament down, I wouldnāt have hated on you at all. I would have fully understood your decision.
My apologies about the comment on the lacking of other games. Youāre right about SC4 and BB. What I was tryin to say is that those obviously arenāt SF games and this was a mainly SF4 targeted tournament. Chances are people that play SF4 would also like to play other SF-related games
With that said, I wasnāt aware this was intended to be a small tournament. While I was there, someone told me that this was your āBig Yearly Tournamentā. So I take back everything I said. But please understand what my point of view was as a player attending what I thought to be a ābigā tournament.

Hey guys just wanted to say it was a very fun tournament with a great turnout, there were some crazy matches, congrads to josh man that was clutch!

Anyways, I really appreciate you help to make me a better player. I did look at those videos of master Mao, and I will study his tactics and hopefully apply some of that great stuff to my game.
On a different note, I will do my best to make it to t10, so I can meet you guy once again, and to enjoy the Canadian cultureā¦it would be my first time out the USA, since I came from the DR in 1996.
