This thread appears to be closest to where I live (culver city). Also, it looks like people play on weekends (usually the only time I am available). Looking to learn how to play mvc3. I haven’t played the game before, don’t own a system or a stick; does this prohibit attendance? Let me know.
I used to play mvc2 a lot and was pretty good, looking to learn this game (though i am hearing it is not very good). Looking to give the game a shot and see if marvel skills translate into the next edition.

Hi, I’m also not very good at MvC3 but looking to learn. Is this a good venue for that, I don’t want to be the one person everyone destroys in 2 seconds and moves on, but would be happy getting destroyed if people are nice/give tips/etc. Yep, just looking to learn also, please let me know if this soiree would be appropriate. Happy to see some more interest! Remember the $3.00 deal everybody. This is ONLY for the tournament to keep competition serious, because while casuals are great and all, a little more than pride on the line gets people serious. 3 bucks goes toward the pot whether or not you are playing in it.
Looking forward to seeing everyone, remember to bring your stick and a system if you can (we need just one more for the last TV).

Yeah, I am the original Mango Sentinel and person gettin styled on in the “mahvel baby” video. I used to hate that video, especially when it came out haha.
