Well Exodus see if you can talk to them cause we dont have an arcade to play at anymore. For once I agree with Greg. At least make some type of attempt to get this into apex. I for one need all the points that I can get since that I didnt go to any tourneys that were apexed within this year except for NC.

Even though this tournament was held in a house doesn’t make it a house tournament. Tomass never called it a “house” tournament. No one never used “house” when refering to this tournament. Technically this was a console tournament and I thought console tournies could be APEX. Shit Javi should put himself in our shoes. The closest arcades we can go to are 3 and 7 hours away. Now tell me do you want to drive that far everytime for a Apex tournament?
That is why apex is fallin the hell out. I mean looking at what we have:
philly, NY or NC
And consistant tournaments its NY. Now who in there right mind wants to travel to New York every other weekend just for some fuccin points. Then there may be days where you dont have your “A” game so you spent your 4-5hrs on the road for nothing.
Its completely dumb for having to have a “place of legitimate” establishment. Why not send one of there reps (mods from close to our areas) or allow us to give them video feed. Cause really this is all we have after GT closed. Thats why when we do travel we look sloppy as shyt. I put money on it that if we had a SERIOUS arcade that would let us hold tournaments like GT did we would be as dominate as NY…no fuccin lie.
You look at Beltway…cant do shyt cause of the owner. City Place…cant do shyt cause of the owner. They may hold something when “money is low”:bluu: . And hell thats RARE, and when they do they hold it for some game like MK4…WTF. Lastly these arcade owners are there for the money, they dont know shyt about the machine nor the game nor a TOURNAMENT. …so MD is just plan stuck. I cant vouche for VA cause I dont know the area…but we are shyt outta luck. And Tom is a savior when you think of it. And for them to deny that tournament proves that apex if fucked up to the fullest. I put money on it that out of the MD/VA family there is some cat that could hand Ricky his ass if he could get the benefits of NY and the points that NY pull on a consistant basis…buuuut no. A tournament with more than 40+ players from RI to VA cant be ranked cause it was in someones home…the only place this [MD] area could hold it.
But its all good, maybe one day the cannon brothers will wake the fuck up along with the others that control this and see what a lovely advantage NY-CALI-PHILLY-TEXAS-CHI have over other little areas that are trying to make a come up…I coulndt give a fuck personally, but I like what I see from this area skill wise and the potential and just hope the upcoming generation could get some type of help at putting themselves out there…

there’s a place in NY called Broadway City - CVS2 is $1.25 and speed is on max and so is damage, but people still play the machine all the time - couple times on Fri night go there like 8pm til 4am and have constant comp the whole time, but i stopped going there after like 7 people got shot up in there one night
I mean all MD have now is mall arcades and they suck. Just like Koop said, it has to do with the owners. As much as an mall arcade pulls in, they claim they can’t get better games or get them fixed. We don’t need arcades that don’t listen to us. A perfect example is Time out in Forestville Mall in Forestville, Maryland. They stayed fixing Tekken games but MVC2 was their biggest game. The elite players there(Shinshay, me, Chosen One, Cy Young)would tell them to get in better games and it will bring in better comp but they would say no because the “regulars” didn’t like it. These players straight suck and the arcade would favor for them even though we told them we could make them more money. We asked them to get in CVS2 a while ago and they said we are going to get it. But when the day came it was CVS1. I was like this isn’t CVS2 and they were like ok…well the owner said it was CVS2 so it’s going to be CVS2.:wtf: Hagerstown is the only place that is reminisent of Gametime Arcade. Now I think the powers that be should take a trip to one of the Hagerstown tournaments and see how many people they would pull during one of their tournaments and tell me it’s not worth APEX.

birthday was decent… i had semi-surprise get together at Dave&Busters. I owned up some better than average players in the Ultracade Street Fighter 2 Turbo cabinet. It’s a funny feeling having my work friends and family watch me destroy people in street fighter.
ULTRACADE…got like 50 games on it…LMAO…
