When speaking on someone in regards to this thread think to yourself “would we be hard pressed to find 5 other people on this coast that could beat them concistently?” i.e. finesse. Only people I think could keep up with him are chris s. (maybe), chunksta (maybe) and soo (maybe). Then u go to soo, the only people who can keep up with him are chunksta (maybe) finesse (maybe) Chris. S (maybe). So on and so forth. outside of those 4 people noone else is just a clear shot at being the top 5 in wc. U got people like sanford mentioning combofiend (who we KNOW doesn’t belong on the 5 on 5 based on the last 3 years). Stop being retarded and start really thinking about this.

Honestly would u say regency rob is the 5th best player on the entire coast? Not by a long shot. He’s good. Not top 5. He’s not better than soo, potter, finesse, chunksta, chris s., thats 5 right there. same can be said for most players.
In fact thats a solid team right there. I’m saying potter just cuz he does well vs. EC though I thinkthere are PLENTY of WC players that can beat him still (DP and myself included). However because its console I’ll even go as far as to say finesse doesn’t belong on the team even though thats my boy. Hate to admit it, but douche (deus) would be a solid replacement. He has raped a few EC players. I know I can rape deus, but he does have more xp vs. EC. So all things considered, Deus, Soo, potter, chunksta, chris. S.

Anyone disagree with that? I think we should just make it a rule now, if you’re not anyone worth mentioning your opinion shouldn’t matter. Since I’m 5th in the world right now my opinion obviously counts. So thats 1 vote for team WC. Any other top players disagree?

**that is to say that he is a scrub. He would probably use storm sent cable or something like that. Scrub was not meant to indicate the team he would use.

Fanatiq how the fuck do you not mention Clockwork for team wc? and Combofiend is solid in mvc2 he is SMARTER than 80 percent of the West coast in games in general.

Naw, this thread is a fun read. Where else do you see logic getting bashed by egos, and everyone imagining that their opinion counts and that they’re calling the shots.

There won’t be an official 5 on 5, we all know that. But all these little WC cliques should just come together with a money team and run the gamut against the EC 5 plain and simple. If you win, you get money and prestige and an ego boost (although a lot of these fools out here will have a big ego regardless of if they win or lose), if you lose, oh well you just lost money…that way fools can do what they want and play the most comfortable. This also keeps the big EC guys from playing around as this could be quite lucrative for them if they keep winning.

Give it up…the exhibition of the past is exactly that, a thing of the past. All the marvel players these days only care for money matches, no one cares about who’s the best. The solidarity of the WC never really existed, just that fools at the top couldn’t be disputed. Now that everyone thinks they or their friends around them sit on the throne and will cry foul the second someone doesn’t agree, a team will never be formed.

And I’m speaking in really general terms. I can already see fools taking offense to this thinking I’m targeting them. That’s not the case, just making a general statement in regards to everything I see.

I believe its fair to say the WC has too many killas to limit them to 5. Im sure the EC team wouldnt mind facing 2 teams reppin the west…whats good

its getting late, i’m making my way over to my favorite place, gotta get my body movin shake that stress awayyyyy.

Instead of complaining why ____ crew is better or why WC sucks lets start organizing and make it happen.
I say we have a number of tournaments in socal to determine the team. We all have an idea of who is tops in WC but lets start fresh.

Pick an arcade in socal, set the dates for FOUR events asap so norcal can schedule times off to participate. Winner of each event will have a spot. Last tournament will be at EVO so all the seattle, southern heads gets a fair shot.

Socal ppl, please pick a spot everyone agrees with.

Well you weren’t in my bracket so it couldn’t have been that easy.

Edit: Combofiend is smart when it comes to games. Marvel isn’t all about smarts. Reaction/reflexes come into play and smarts go out the window. That is the area where he sucks. And again, he can not beat finesse, notter, chris s, Chunksta, crizzle, me, bbhood, amingo mike, clockwork, douche, buff mike, dark prince, the computer on hardest difficulty and therefore should not be conisdered for the team…actually I’m sure he can beat up to 3 of those people. Well same list except bbhood, amingo mike, and thecomputer on hardest difficulty.

sure guy. I’ve been placing top 8 before you even knew what the rom was. You can say what you want, but you know this summer i’ll be playing on sunday and you’ll have to scrub your way into that select company. Good luck.

That is definently the case for me.

I like how Fanatiq’s only Top 5 finish trumps everybody else’ achievements. Especially those who have had multiple top finishes, IE: Combofiend, Potter, and clockw0rk.

I like how I’ve beaten potter in tourney (think it was the last time we played) Beat him in money matches. Beaten combofiend non stop casual, money match, tourney whatever. And have yet to play clockwork but would bet my rent money on the match…

So yes sanford I can beat potter…

Like how you keep mentioning this “money match” we played. I remember you were begging everyone to play you for money, and you asked me to play you for $2. You looked like you hadn’t eaten in two days so I said “sure.” It was win win for me; if I got your two bucks, I would’ve bought a bag of chips and gave you some, if I lost (which I did), then it’s ok cause I’ll have fed the poor.

What you call a “money match,” I call “charitable donations.” Have fun twisting the reality on that…I can’t wait to see what you’ll say as I’m sure it’ll not only be “fanatiqal” but hilarious as well.
