5 on 5 EC WC Team Tourney

^^^^ damn that team is toooo serious…

how about i play you for $1000?

real talk, we can get it setup with watson

If row, jmar,or kuan show up one of those guys should have a spot for sure.

yeah, they definitely shouldn’t have to play for a spot like everyone else

especially since they’ve all shown what they’re capable of in a recent setting

I’m gonna agree with Bill. They haven’t played against anyone outside the NW in a while. They would have to get some practice in against outside players before they could even think about just facing the Beastcoast.

team 3 vs hmc pls

It’s strange: I never see you eat before a tournament, and yet you’re always choking. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?

<3

Hey, since “we” have already fucked it up this year for the West Coast because we love to infight, maybe we could start thinking about a plan for next year?

How about NorCal, SoCal, and ( every place not Cali ) both put together their list of 8 people who should be on the five on five, and then whomever shows up of that 24 man possible pool PLAYS FOR SPOTS? Top 5 that way, or each area can pick their Champ and then the pool plays for the remaining three spots.

Although really, it should be clear who’s kick-ass enough to be in that play-off regardless of popularity. =\

yea but who knows maybe they are ready, who’s to say they aren’t?

chris s, potter, soo, chunk, jmar/row

team wc

gl guys

This shit is still goin on?

please Draw names from a hat or something…

Have a Round Robin Tournament at Evo that is open to all West Coast Players, the top 5 players in the Round Robin take the spots to play the 5v5. Done deal, it’s as easy as that.

Picking teams does not necessarily mean that the winning team will have the best West Coast players on the team provided they win. I know that this has been brought up before, but shit, nothing appears to have been decdied on. West Coast needs to represent with the best talent.

You’re new to this aren’t you?

We love to infight too much. You and this whole gangster “getting along with each other” East Coast bullshit mentality can fuck right off.

Clearly the West Coast needs Marvel leadership that people will listen to, but everybody’s been too busy infighting to make good things happen. Ideally that person comes from Cali, but it seems like there’s always some contingent from Cali that hates some other contingent and then you make dumb calls or just keep posting anger instead of sense.

best post, agreed, end thread.

If not, have Chris S or Soo pick.

My nigga from the LWO, we gotta get some slurpies from 7/11.

Hey, Chunksta
When are you gonna visit regency?! So, I don’t missed it. Casuals only, no money matches. I don’t like to put my money at risk unless I know that I will win 4 sure. lol Maybe other people will, though.

Just an idea on the 5v5 why people don’t just watch the latest videos and select the people that have done really good against the beastcoast players. Before someone start saying that my opinion don’t matter and that I suck at marvel and who knows what other shit. I’ll admit, I hardly play big tournies and as a matter fact, I never play an evo tourney. It is only an idea, nothing more or less.

No Sir. As Reset said, I do play Marvel and have been up to speed with the scene pretty much from day one. Just because I don’t attend majors or tournaments in general doesn’t necessarily constitute me as being “new”. If your comment was in regards to the Round Robin, then re-read my post. As referenced, it probably has already been proposed, and was discussed many times for other similar situations as to not be the best choice.

Doing a Team Tournament and having the winning team represent the West Coast doesn’t necessarily mean that the team is best qualified to go up against the East Coast. For example, if Bill blows through the whole tournament without anyone else on his team ever playing, does that mean that the other 4 players are good enough to be team WC? Not necessarily. Personally, I think everyone on all the teams I have seen proposed so far are good enough to be on the team. I just think having a Round Robin tournament will allow everyone a fair opportunity to be part of WC. It will also allow the ‘new’ players to get in on the action that are up and coming.
