I made mention of it before, but my cabinet runs FreeBSD (similar to Linux for those of you who aren’t familiar. If you are, I know they’re very different. I use FreeBSD as my main server OS), and so Windows applications are flat out not an option, at least not directly.
I can use wine to run emulators. I started looking at Dreamcast emulators in hopes of being able to run MVC2 and CvS2, along with a few others (Powerstone comes to mind) without having to open up and swap discs. Any thoughts on what the best route there might be? All of them seem to be dependant on mouse clicks to launch the game in question, keeping me from simply adding an item to my frontend for each game.
Numbski, don’t forget to focus before you take the pics. You’ll be putting some 4-player boards in there, right? TMNT: Turtles in Time, The Simpsons, Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder, maybe something obscure like Spider-man or old Konami 4-player games’d be a great fit.
They do excellent print quality. If your control panel top is really smooth and perfect I would recommend getting their Adhesive-Backed, Laminated Vinyl. It is really good stuff and gives a real professional finish.
Probably going to catch heck for this but, I actually prefer the mamemarquees cpo material to plexiglass. Plexi and lexan gets messed up too easy. Believe it or not, that CPO material, if installed correctly, actually holds up really well.
