Yea TKK is hot, every time I see him play in a tourney he always comes in top 3, mostly 1st or 2nd.
Dont judge him off of those clips, cuz he was not going all out.
having him play easy on you is not going to help you get better, if youāre serious about getting better you will take beatings until you are tired of being punished by things that leave you open for damage. The damage must be dealt on every mistake until the mistake is blatantly obvious in every situation it might have a chance of occuring. Mistakes must be punished every time or you might think you can get away with some things when you cant and this will overall hurt your game play. The next vids of TKK vs you better be of him owning you hard and punishing mistakes that seem small with big damage combos/super etc.
Having people go easy on you just builds in the āit works sometimesā mentality.

seriously though. Donāt go easy.
Instead if you want the match to be more even, insist that he picks crappy characters. This has seven advantages:

You donāt get the wrong idea for risk/reward ratio of moves. So if you whiff a DP, heāll punish you with a huge combo and not just some random thing, so you donāt whiff so many DPs.

You learn to play against a wide variety of characters.

He learns a wide variety of characters.

He wonāt subconsciously āgo easyā when it matters. Sometimes when I beat someoneās first two characters, I will lose concentration and they can come back from behind. So you guard against that.

You donāt get false ideas about where your strong or weak points are.
