3SOE dead?

I don’t think the CPS3 code in FBA, or any other emulator really, has been changed since like 2007, so there shouldn’t be any differance in GGPO FBA and the regular FBA when it comes to gameplay speeds and that. Besides, I think people should train with GGPO FBA since that’s what they’re going to be playing on anyway, unless they’re mostly into offline. Only problem is that you can’t get any sort of pseudo training mode like with MAME via cheats, but at least it doesn’t lag, right?

I think ggpo’s fba is glitchy with the save state->load state.

Karnov room has like 30-40 players on every night… if you have a pc and want a better experience than 3SOE, play the game on GGPO.

All of my games were seamless. Never had any trouble there.

PC GGPO woks better for some ppl. Same goes for 3SOE. GGPO 3s is semi-active with around 30-40 ppl max in specific hours. So it’s not like a better option.
Just an alternate choice , if you can’t find decent connections on 3SOE.

players propably play on xbl.

There’s a save state glitch in GGPO that people exploit to play 3S.

I personally haven’t bothered doing that because I don’t feel like going through all the hassle and just play on Supercade.

The 3s Room on ggpo has been removed. The GGPO client itself exists.
Supercade is not a bad gaming client. It supports more games than ggpo.
Supercade’s input delay is way worse with 3s games, though.
