how bad is the input lag from converters?
be a bit more specific.
pc, xbox/360, ps2/ps3 ???
It all has do with the pcb really from my experience. Ps 1 dual shock is the most compatiable with a playstation to usb converter. Radioshack one work with them without lag. Pelican works with all of them.
Keep in mind that PS3âs backwards compatibility lags by 3 frames.
I was talking about the pc, but I didnât know that about the ps3. Iâm guessing thats for every game that doesnt have a progressive mode like GGXXAC? Thanks for the info.
- Hey binh, check out your match against eddy at the bullshit tourney we had a while back.

No, itâs actually on all games and all video outputs now, including games with a progressive mode. I suspect one of the firmware updates may have borked it.
So whoâs all making it to the A-con tournament? 3s and St, hopefully Iâm up to par at both games.
Question- Say sometimes have a hard time teching throws. I know some people here that play rarely get thrown. What are you reading to see the throw coming? Is it on reaction or something the opponent does to give it away on the setup?
why are ppl still playing this game?? its sooo SLOW
i never understood how this game is soo popular.
Because 3s makes your penis bigger and marvel makes it shrink. No lie.
Nah man jk, all love for capcom.
I dunno, Marvel is too fast for me and intimidates me because of all the shit you have to do, but its fun watching. 3S is one on one love fest of the mind, but I play like Iâm retarded.
its ok you are in choke city of texas, where playing for fun counts more than trying to be #1
Dallas AKA Jakes city
also, 3S is to NASCARS: Sunday afternoon is to Jakes definition of foreplay
LOL
I usually look for the tick throw, but people like campbell tick, then do crouching short short super which can be very tricky. Also if people dash up, you can mash throw and usually it would tech. But I think people including me should work on teching on reaction which is pretty hard to do. I think I have gotten better on doing that, just from playing games at erics last night.
also another thing if ANYONE does empty jump throw, you should always punish someone who empty jump throws. usually by the time they land you can land something like strong fierce shoryu (ken), this is because the throw doesnât have the same start up frames cause they need recovery from the land, so usually if you hit anything, it beats out the throw.
HOWEVER if they empty jump block, they wonât get hit by your incoming attacks.
Reading the throw is a lot of intuition. There are a lot of setups for it that are kinda obvious. Just be cautious of a situation, if something doesnât feel right about the opponents approach, then they will most likely throw you. Also option selecting the tech throw is great with certain characters like Ken, Yun, Yang and other that can combo off low shorts/jabs. If you are not a block stun disadvantage, I try to do crouching jab+short, option select tech the throw or get a crouching jab or short that can turn into a combo if they did go for the throw too late. I think teching the throw on the reaction is waaaay too hard.
This man speaks the truth
To tech a throw standing, you have to input a throw at the same time as your opponent, but to tech a throw crouching, you have to input the throw just slightly after theirs.
Teching throws for me is probably 40% intuition and 60% reaction. You have to have a clue that the throw is coming, but if I expect it as a possibility I tech on reaction very consistently. Even when Iâm not expecting the throw at all, I can get it sometimes. So, you do have time to tech on reaction if your character is crouching.
How can you guys tech throws on reaction? 0_o
I can only see them if they whiff and even then, I dunno if I can be fast enough to punish.
practice. lawl.
as said earlier, part of it is intuition to train your mind to âprepâ yourself for a throw attempt.
more vids from fridayâs ranbat and ill post results this evening.

i dont mind constructive criticism. Anything to help improve. Dunno about anyone else thoughâŚ
ggâs to everyone this weekend and at tournament. Gotta find a way to get out of that Denjin.
Yukki youâve really stepped up your game with Urien, loved those casual matches.
BTW can you translate:
teleport out if he does it after a knockdown.
when you see that he has meter for denjin, either stay away or get in his face and pressure him with your rushdown.
joseâs denjin ryu is hella solid. just practice more and get the best of him next time.
