That’s right!
Expo Weekend=Serious Traffic Problems
F.Y.I. This is Black Expo weekend, which means severe traffic blockages all day, and especially after the tournament.
Be sure you park a good distance from the mall, because getting out of the parking garage will be near impossible should you choose to park there.
Traffic around the mall will be bumper to bumper as well.
You guys already have enough MSS players.
You know what? I can’t do it. If this tourney was some place else, I’d be fine with it.
Naptown, represent without me.
Peace.
Thats all well and good, but seriously if it tries or says anything to me it will take all of you to stop me. I’m that fucking mad about it. They tell me its cool one moment, I get a you’re fired message on my cell the next.
It was just cowardly, and sickening, especially considering the circumstances. If I get arrested and taken down for any reason whatsoever that would just make matters worse.
I plan to go into law enforcement, so any offense, no matter how trivial, whether the charges are dropped or not, would bar me from ever going that route.
Its already happened to a friend of mine. I just got fired over the phone on Friday, so all of this is still fresh on my mind. Right now I feel keeping my distance is best.
Peace.
Ray: You handle this the way you see fit and know that no matter what your decision is we’ve always got your back.
Ray: it’s all good, hommie. It sucked that we had to miss you, but I completely understand your position. You’re handlin’ your business, bro; that’s what important.
Brent: it was my pleasure educating you this weekend on what Urien and I can do. I apologize for not having time to show you some character-specific beat downs; I was too busy racking up wins in the middle row, but you knew that. Lemme know when you’re ready for another lesson, hommie. lol If you ever wanna learn “The Thonged One” a bit just say the word. In time, I’m sure you could learn to love him. After all, you know the saying: “If you can’t beat 'em, join 'em.” I have to admit, though: I was pretty disappointed that I didn’t run into Chun-Li. Tell her I asked about her if you see her again, k? Oh, and make sure she’s got my phone number still, will ya?
Real quick…
Ray, just from the sounds of things from your posts I think you are making the right decision for you at this time. I’m sure it was no good missing out on this but at least you know you have SB3 coming around the corner (a 3 month corner) so you will be ok in the long run. I am improving slightly. Sadly I probably won’t play any casual MvC2 stuff at SB3 so it will be awhile before I can show you but it’s all good.
Ok now onto pressing matters. I can see I’m being given the business here.
Actually I folded and did use her once. I played James 2 matches right before leaving. Once with her and then with Akuma. I did stay away from Oro at least. Since you are asking for this matchup then it’s all good, I will sneak her in for a match or two when I see you next. Hopefully SB3 or James mentioned something about Champaign in September possibly. For now I will give you “Immortal’s most improved since I’ve last seen you stamp of approval” for your efforts and results.
Whenever there is going to be any MvC2/3S action going on, lemme know.
Also, any word on Abe’s next party?
Edit: Add GG and Arcana to the list. Hmm Melee and Brawl as well. I’ll play it all.
“Efforts” my ass. How about I give you a Band-Aid for your efforts? I expected a lot more from the “Immortal”. As a result, I bestow upon you “Neglector’s most degraded since I’ve last seen you stamp of unapproval.” Now, the way that I see it is all the shit-talking needs to end, even if it is just for shits and giggles. This is kind of going out to everyone: we’re all from the same region, we all play together, and we’re all friends. We don’t need to put each other down in order to inspire a competitive nature. Plus, it just goes to show you that you never know how much someone can improve with a little practice. I’m pretty much done discussing this issue now. Please don’t come at me with stuff like claims to be the best at anything or intent to take my money through money matches or things like that, even if it is jokingly. I play for fun, and I am first and foremost all about helping others improve; Mario, Indy, Justin, and plenty of others can attest to that. Nothing makes me madder than a shit talker, especially when they don’t deserve to be doing it in the first place. If you’re dope, you’re actions will speak louder than your words ever can. If you’re not, though, you’ll be greeted with a very similar circumstance.
And, Brent: I don’t mean to come at you like an asshole, especially after what I just said up top. However, now maybe you understand that not everyone appreciates snide, sarcastic comments about their play ability, even if you don’t mean anything by it.
…I play for fun, and I am first and foremost all about helping others improve; Mario, Indy, Justin, and plenty of others can attest to that.…
I will bear witness to that.
alright Indy Crew i think a small plan might be in need to prepare for the next bout of tourney action wherever it is at, so that we can challenge other regions
my house is pretty much set up for gaming, just have to deal with my roommate who has a dog, but the dog doesnt chew on anything (at least not that i know of so far)
i know you guys meet up occasionally at GW on tuesdays, but i can never make it cuz i always have a meeting those evenings, and on the nights i dont i wouldnt be able to make it down till about 7, also no GGAC machine heh
thoughts??
Mike for President :woot:.
I would be down for it when I get back. Just so you know I used to have a crazy fear of dogs but I’m getting over it now. Dogs and me just never clicked.
I prefer not to play at gw anymore. I would rather play at someones house where we can have several setups. I’ve got to learn GG. I beat a really good player soundly one round and this is considering I didn’t even know all the moves for chipp. If I knew a little more I think I could get good at this game.
Yes Sir. I couldn’t agree more. Like I stated in my previous post, I’ll play pretty much any fighter. Damn, I forgot to add Fist. I’m not playing CvS2 though. That game just makes me sleepy as hell.
Flexo - I don’t get it. What was all that about? Maybe I should watch my wording more carefully but my previous post wasn’t meant to have any insults or anything bad at all. I mean I even said you were most improved out of all the folks there since I’ve last seen you. I’m not sure what the $ match thing is about either. I didn’t mention any $ matches. I posted days ago I’ve recently been laid off from work and I was declining Mario’s $50 matches. What’s going on?
Indy - well this dog is quite calm, doesnt jump up on you, and a threatening voice makes it quite sad, you will be fine, or at least begin to warm up to dogs again with this one
Riot - i have 2 tvs here, one is my roommates, and someone could bring over a 3rd to get six of us playing at once
2 would be enough. We’ll wait to Indy gets back, so maybe early August we can all play.
Astral: That sounds good then. I can handle that.
Riot et al: I’ll be back on the 26th so give me the 27th to get rested up and over the jet lag and I’ll be ready to do stuff on the 28th. I need to play against people badly, I fear my skills are becoming dull.
No hard feelings Brent, but if you’re going to view yourself in such high esteem and others in such low esteem maybe you should just focus on Turbo in such respects. That I can see you bragging about. You trying to get into my head while I was playing Gary in our little team match was pretty funny, though. I knew Chickenfat would humble you two. LOL. And Paul, lol he doesn’t even really care about 3s. He’s a guilty gear player. Get em sleepy Oro! That dude could fall asleep on a bed of spikes. You have to know Paul to get that joke.
Hey Brent- Can you post those pics taken? Thanks
