Are you guys going to play after GW closes? If so, Humbag would you be willing to play some MvC2 casuals with us?
We would play you on our arcade cabinet, but its got some…problems.

Yo guys I won’t be there this tuesday. Humbag already knows that I got into a wreck over the weekend so I’m without a car for now. Mario that means you’ll have to drive to Champaign on Friday. Don’t worry I’ll chip in on gas. I’ll just have my brother drop me off at your house.

I’m not shittin on anyones 3S skills, but I have never seen anyone get thrown that much, ever.
What kind of options does Chun have in that match up to force someone to eat that many throws for fear of getting hit with something else?
I need a breakdown of that matches metagame, because I’m obviously missing something here.
Yeah its bad but atleast my insurance should handle it all and no one was hurt which is what really matters. But lets just say the whole chain of events was started by the actions of a so called “friend”.
I didn’t watch the whole thing but Chun Li’s Kara Throw can just be disgusting at times. Believe me, it isn’t the first top player that I’ve seen that happen to.

Chun Li can throw ridiculously like that because of her super. Watch when Chun gets meter. Most of the time she’ll walk in and tick throw. Sometimes she’ll tick but then do fierce. If that ever hits she supers. The problem that Urien has is that he has nothing at that range (the kara throw range) that is truly a threat (which is why I hate aegis sometimes). He can’t even really try to tech the throw at that range because his throw range is way outside of Chuns kara-throw range…if she doesn’t throw and he try’s to throw tech (either regular style or with down+jab+short), he whiffs and gets hit with fierce/low forward-> super. If he trys to poke back and suceeds, he gets a small hit that leads to nothing. If chun hits, she gets super into wakeup games into general death and destruction. Emphy didn’t want to risk that happening, and in doing so, got thrown to death. That’s what annoys me about Urien. He can only do crap to you in two situations.
All other times, it’s like playing russian roulette with him. I mean, I’ll let the Urien experts tell you what you can do in that situation cause they’d know more about possible options.
By the way, what’s good with that Mario Kart. We should play!
Oh, and if Indianapolis is playing hosts to guests, then of course I should do my best to meet and greet. I might have to come up on Tuesday. I’ll keep you guys posted. I promise if I come I’ll play more Marvel.
Yeah, I hate to tell you this, Knyghtfall, but Ghetto’s absolutely right. There isn’t really a whole lot Urien can do against Chun-Li aside from not allowing yourself to get cornered. Jumping RK is a good anti-Chun device, but you still have to be very careful not to get cocky with it. When you’re not attacking, you HAVE to be building meter. Once you see an opening in her assault, you should Tackle in and cancel into the appropriately distanced Reflector.
Uh oh. My car is not very reliable to say the least. I may have to rent a car. I would drive it to Champaign but St. Louis and back.
It looks like we’ll have to do that man. Unless my insurance gives me a rental by Friday which is a possibility we’re looking at doing something like that. Again, I’ll help out on the cost. I’ll keep you posted man.

Chickenfat: Yeah I’m fine man, thanks for asking. We’ll hang out at Ohayocon for sure. I mostly spent my time in the dealers room buying stuff. I was under the impression that 3s was going to be on those LCD TVs so I wasn’t really all that interested though I spent a lot of time playing on Friday.

Sorry about the wreck indy to bad you wont get a rental cause you are not old enough to get rental cars. But i should see you guys tomorrow. We cant play at my place because my apartment was fludded by some faulty piped, but if everyone wants to come back to my parent you guys are more and welcome because they are out of town for the entire week. Hey indy did you get me anything good at the anime convention? if so ill pay you back. And if you wanna come tomorrow i can come pick you up. Ugh I cant wait to play some good 3s. I need some major practice on 360 sticks. I played at a gameworks saturday in Shaumberg on a mvc2 with 360’s and it owned my hands lol.
