3rd Strike has made me realize how much SFIV sucks

At least I have standards. Pad players just cheapen everything. The complicated and crafty experience of Street Fighter and other fighting games just gets watered down and watered down by these stupid pad players.

If they’re playing on a pad, they’re not playing the game fully. They’re just putting everything on shortcut. They’re horrible people who poison the well. They ruin everything.

Here are my true f—ing feelings:

“Maxi” pad players have no business playing Third Strike or any Street Fighter. At my gatherings when I have 4 set ups and 8 TE sticks which I all own because I like to help the fighting game community, they kill it for everyone because they’re the only ones who have to pull out the joysticks and switch to their dumb “maxi” pads.

They f—ing suck because they play Street Fighter like it was Call of f—ing Duty. I hate Call of Duty. Go f— yourself maxi pad f—ing players.

I’m sure you’re helpful to the community and all, but right now you’re being retarded.

Play on whatever you feel like, don’t expect everyone to play the same way.

While a lot of this is random gibberish, by a lot I mean the thread as a whole, there are logistic reasons why pads put a damper on things. He is right when he says that you have to waste time just to plug in the pad and do the button mapping. When you have 6 guys playing on sticks and you are the one person playing pad, shit has to be accommodated just for you. Similarly you also have the problem of people who play on different pads. I can remember a session where we had 2 different pad players, one on regular PS3 and the other on a X-box madcatz stick and they didn’t play each other once because they couldn’t; that alone is beyond retarded.

Aside from this logistics issue, play on whatever. The fact that you can map random shit to buttons is a bigger issue for pad than anything else. Hav must be enjoying having a lot of stupid being funneled into one place because I have no idea why this hasn’t been locked. Useless ass thread.

Unlike SF4, Third Strike isn’t made for a broad audience. So when the broad audience tries to get into the game they complain about everything. Just play it or don’t play it. It’s not for everyone. You have more than enough tools on your Online Edition. They never had anything like that on the machine. You have your parry mode and everything. So just play it and learn it. Stop complaining about how difficult it is. It was difficult for everyone. Game came out in 99 and players didn’t start scratching the surface until 2002.

For the third fucking time, I’m not saying it’s a hard game and I don’t want to play it. I’m saying it is hard to play with d-pad. I have no problem with any fighting game and have played games just as hard and complex. Seriously, can’t you read? I can’t see why anyone would try to be patient with you if you continue boasting and shitting on every game in a stroke and just say Third Strike is not for casuals when any game can be played by anyone. I have friends who just got into Third Strike (Stick players) and are loving it. And they started with SF4, which is a game I PERSONALLY introduced them to. No, Capcom did not just release this game JUST for the third strike players but for “newbies” as well just like how SF4 was also released for the old SF players other than the newbies and casual players. Capcom tries to make money anyway they can. How did you not get the memo!? At least I have Third Strike in an older console.

And I see you patronize pad players the more you talk and produce more BS out of your hole you call a mouth. You did mention ST by the way…What would you say if I beat you with a D-Pad in ST? From the looks of yourself and others just like you here on SRK, i’d imagine saltiness and bitching.
