2df?

Good shit as always Damdai.

Some people crash as in the screen freezes, not a quit. Why is that?

Congrats on this, some quick feedback:

  • Website doesn’t display properly on IE6 because of transparent PNGs. Very easy to fix:
    http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/

  • If I host a game, it will lag a lot for both players (input delays and jerkiness). But if I join the game instead, lag will always completely disappear.
Ports are opened (both TCP and UDP) and using Firefox 3.6.

Not sure why it happens - maybe something to do with the way nFBA translates bandwidth (my broadband connection is 10,000kbps download 1,000kbps upload).
Something from GGPO may need to copied to fix the issue.

Edit: Also would be nice to be able to access http://supercade.net/Updates.aspx from a tab at the top like all the other sections.

IE6 is obsolete (“as of January 2010, estimates of IE6’s global market share ranged from 11-20%”). also GGPO is closed source.

I dunno if it’s practical, but is there any chance to add a “single player training mode”?
Something like this - You enter a game, and start a 2p match, however, the emu loads a cheat list that gives 2p infinite health along with infinite timer and super meter, similar to training modes on console releases

Again, dunno if it can be done, but if it can, it’ll be pretty helpful

I also get a generic “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” error whenever I try to load supercade.net in IE. Seems to show up fine in Firefox.

Same exact problem, also supercade.net does work if I visit in in IE through a CGI proxy website for some reason.

When I goto start session I get this “cannot start application” error because the application is “improperly formatted”<<<?

Does private sessions work for anybody else?

Suggestion: under the hosted game list, put a “request list” of games hosted by non hosting players. The games cannot be joined, but might involve “can-host players” to host themselves

I think theres no need for two lists, the “request” game sessions can be placed together with normal ones, only marked as “request”. Also, if player is unable to host himself, client wont show him the “request” sessions of other players (since he will unable to join them anyway and they are useless to him)

they dont work to me

What video settings should I use to ensure the least lag in the gameplay (assuming that the settings matters)?

Stick with the first settings (Basic DirectDraw 7?).

hi everyone.
I was an old user of 2df, today i have found the “new” site, but I’m experiencing some problems, so I’ve start to search for a forum, chat irc for supercade, but found nothing.
This seems to be the only forum who talks about it, so I’ll try to ask here.
The site is displayed fine, the emulator works, but i can’t register. I mean, i input the name, mail adress, the image code, click on create account, and notting happens.
not even a error message. Just nothing. Same if i try to log in inputing random letters, it just don’t react.

Can someone help me?

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask, but i don’t have access to the “contact” link on supercade, because you need to be registered…

Your name might be too long.

damdai… can you please add a filter by country flag in the Users tab?
so if i pick my flag i can view only people with it…

2DF had ZERO crash problems, Supercade is filled with it. I’ve been crashing in every match I’ve been in. Do it for Jesus, bring back 2DF. 70% of the people have moved on to GGPO, or quit, and it’s sad.

It’s the same emulator retards.
