Just wanted to say “thanks damdai,” glad to see you’re back involved with 2df/supercade and committed to making it better. I’m excited to see what new features are in store. With private sessions, do I dare to dream of a lobby/waiting system?
Just tried it and played some 3rd Strike matches against Shoto Scrubs. From what I can tell; there is no difference lag-wise compared to 2DF. Which disappoints me a little, I was hoping it was going to be a little bit better. To be honest, 3S and SS V Special are the only reasons I’ve used 2DF. Because 3S is woefully inconsistent on GGPO, and Ponder has difficulty adding games people want like SS V Special and Real Bout 2.
Criticism out of the way. I thought it was fine, no real problems with the interface. Takes a little getting used to. But pretty easy to use. Other thing is, maybe I missed it, but I’ve never been prompted to save a replay.
But overall I congratulate you and hope the best in the future.
PS: Is there anyway to get this running in Google Chrome? Firefox is a resource hog, and IE is well…
PPS: It’s probably been proposed, but I’d love to see a Tournament Mode. Or some sort of Post It Note feature. Post It Note would work like this: Player would set up a message for whatever game and what time he’s available and as he’s logged out there will be a message on his profile or some such.

Supercade is junk period, back in the 2df days GGPO sucked but now its godlike compared to supercade. I suck at geography and liked to have the name of the country pop up while hovering above an unknown flag, which helped guessing what would the connection be like and if I should chat in english or in my own language, could you add this again someday?

I read you added private messages back into supercade, but lacked the time or opportunity to use them so far, so don’t mind me if there’s already something going that way. I liked that on 2DF when a match was finished, you still had shortcuts to message the person you were playing with, which was nice to say a last few words, swap MSNs, or give or get a tip or two. Now, if I want to message someone, I have to go to users and find the player, right? It’s not too much of a hassle, but I found the quick links handy.

I did not mean to sound negative in my comment about hosting/ports. I **am **thankful for the effort damdai puts into his websites and projects. Helps to keep the 2dfighter scene (and other classic games) alive. Keep up the great work.
you just say none sense, you cant believe such stupidity hum? every project does have a beginning but supercade is 2df successor so we expected something better not inferior, where was writen “alot” of money? it just said money, who said making a website is easy? “a guy that has nothing to do with you, created a website” yea… like the rest of the internet… supercade doesnt kick ass it sucks compared to other services, if you think sucking damdai balls is constructive criticism its not. At first the change from 2DF to Supercade was a bit of a shock but now I’ve got used to it I can definitely say it’s a real improvement. 2DF was great of course but I prefer the way Supercade works and the overall look of the site is better too. Also there are now so many more games to play than before. It’s especially good to see Knights of the Round and The King of Dragons being added. Thanks Damdai!
