I wasn’t the one making this comparison. That was the comparison THEY made. They said that 150k for a character was cheap and pointed to a fighting game made by a triple-A studio as proof of this by comparison. Neither of the parties involved were even trying to make games on a shoestring budget, and it’s up for debate which of them had less knowledge on this subject than the other, but L0’s lack of common sense hurt them as well.
Hurt them? Last I checked they made 500% of their funding target for Skullgirls DLC. On top of that, the game actually sold quite well. The game’s problem was never abour peopk buying it. Rather, it’s always been because most people buying it do so for the art and couldn’t be assed to play the game competitively.
