Shit man, dem feels. Although I didn’t really care all that much for Audrey’s character, she help shape Jack. Also got to pity President Heller, that was quite touching what he said about not remembering who the woman was in the photo.
Shin Bauer unleashes the full power of the Satsui no Hadō, didn’t even need to tag in his assist character. Part of me thought Jack was going to blow his brains out, that would have been a even more sombre final act for the series.
I thought they gave Jack the silent clock as well, but I went back to previous season 6 and noticed they gave him a silent clock at the end too.
Jack saved the world within 12hrs, thats one hell of a productive day, I should put a framed photo of Jack Bauer on my desk to motivate myself.
They really gotta do this again, but it’s hard to go back to 24 episodes of… 24. Only a couple seasons stayed on its A-game from start-to-finish, and a lot of otherwise great seasons were messed up by filler sub-plots. 12 eps is pretty much perfect.
Whether this show is over for good or not, Mark’s place in 24 lore as the biggest wuss ever is set in solid granite. The writers didn’t even bother redeeming the guy with a honorable Masonable death.
agree’d these shows with 1hr long episodes seem to work a lot better as 12 episodes. Shorter season of Arrow would have helped trim out some of the filler e.g Laurel the addict, Roy’s self loathing etc. 12 episodes an 1hr each of Arrow would be great but seems most if not all of WB shows rely on advertisements.

Jesus can’t Bauer ever find peace? He was so close to killing himself (which would be a tragedy considering how much shit he’s survived) but he summoned the Satsui no Bauer and fucked Shang Tsung’s ass up! One man wrecking crew. I can only imagine the overwhelming guilt.

Also a solemn end for the Prez, knowing his entire life and career will be faded memories. Jack’s sacrifice for Chloe, and the Russian’s eternal need for vengeance. What a ending. The 12 hour time skip was well done and managed to still get the “24 hour” aspect across.
The season was a perfect example of a show keeping it’s “flavor” even after a long hiatus. I want more!
