How fast?
I pitched in HS, but didn’t have the stuff for college. My max was 77 mph.
Softball is hella fun, i played a season alongside baseball last year. It was alot more loose than hardball but i enjoyed myself anyways.
Youll see some horribly mechanically wrojg swings in softball but its just a different game that way

Minor/Independent/Beer League gimmick to bring in fans by having the ugliest/weirdest uniforms. Stuff like this reminds me of Bull Durham. The lower the level the competition, the dumber the gimmick.

I think the fastest I ever threw was just under 90 but generally low to mid 80s. I don’t have great control or stamina though, I pretty much just throw a four-seam fastball as anything else I have no idea where it’s going to go. I’ve tried different grips like throwing a splitter and a curveball and that but I can’t get it on target outside of dumb luck. I generate most of the speed just from my hips and a long stride. I’m tall… like 6’4, I’m not boxing currently but I did it for years as well and it makes you good at using your hips and shoulders not just your arm.

Jordy/Kang taking some ground balls, Jon Niese throwing, Searge being a wizard, I can’t think of who that right hander is throwing at the same time as Niese (the guy in the thumbnail. I think it may be Nick Kingham but I wasn’t sure if he was throwing from the mound or not yet. TJS last May or else he may have been in the majors last year), I think that was Stew in the cages right before the Cutch finale.
Man I hope the bats, McCutchen’s especially, come out in force this April. They’re going to need to put up some runs to prop up the backside of this rotation.
I also bought tickets to Neil Walker’s homecoming game today.
