I was thinking about this thread and about the “FGC” in general and I realized that this thread, while useful (arguably) I don’t think is getting the job done. Reason being, who really comes to this thread, collects names and seeks these people out. I don’t. I just play and if I find someone cool to play against I come and write their name here but that isn’t the same thing as a forming a community.
To me this seems like a little bit of a good old boys club, or the best friends gang. I can only speak for myself but I have made two posts and of the 3 people I posted about one person turned out to be kind of a tool and I don’t know the other two.
In addition I’m an above average player who plays a lot and I’m not listed. Its not much of an ego thing for me, I sort of enjoy the anonymity but it seems more like people self promoting or just listing their friends and there is no organization for online tournaments of any kind that I know of.
So I’m asking the same question that I ask when I read a book or watch a tv show, “What’s the point?”
What’s the point of a thread that is supposed to gather up the people that are “the FGC” and then does nothing about it? What is the goal? World dominance, a better online experience, apathy?

I think this list is really useful. Sometimes you will recognize those names when you are trying to find a room in endless etc.
Yesterday I had a few nice matches with Ficcando’s Guile for example. Really solid player! Also taek93 from France had a good Sakura (although he had some difficulties adapting his gameplay against my Gief).
