Remember that Sterling Sharpe also had an injury to the neck similar to that what Manning received which also ended his career as the Jerry Rice for Brett Favre back in 1994.
When you’re the QB, and someone who is targeted by the Defenders all the time, so the likely hood of re-injuring the neck is highly probable. Of course I wouldn’t want to see Manning step away from the game, but I’m thinking worst case scenario like a severe injury that could lead to paralysis which is something I absolutely would not want to happen.
I’m not saying that Manning can’t come back and play, but again, a neck injury is not something to be taken likely at all. If it was a hip injury or something, then yeah, absolutely, but the neck? Their should be a great deal of concern here for the Colts organization.
For me, I don’t see how the Colts go anywhere this year, that division is most likely for the taking to the Texans whom look the best imo to take it now if Schaub and co. play to their potential.
Yeah, I know this is late news, but hearing that Tramon Williams only has a bruise and not some broken collar bone, arm or whatever brings happy tears to my eyes because if he went down, Shields although solid is not T. Williams.
