I was watching the stream and I saw Dan play and he’s good. Losing to him would make me proud…
I wish I would have seen you on the stream…I would have been rooten for ya.
Did you have anybody record your matches?
I didn’t see any kens at evo besides myself, mostly Blankas, Ryus, and Balrogs.
I got to the finals in my pool and got owned by a good chun-li player.
You’re my hero
Keno, Somuchdamge are godlike in my area and you just proved to me that ken can really kick ass if you know what you’re doing. :lovin:
any one remember the flowchart ken from pool play against a scrub blanka. good times.
Hey Dr. Chaos, give us a shout when you upload your vids from EVO to youtube.

i stumbled upon this in the Daigo MM thread. i think this is the right video, but i could be mistaken.
^ damn, nice try though. It’s hard enough to beat a good ryu player, let alone Daigo.
Good matches with Daigo. So the only way you could play Daigo in casuals were money matches?
I noticed that jumping on him is suicide.
So solid…so fucking fundamentally solid! Ridiculous man lol
I hate the match up against Ryu its difficult. Good stuff though Dr. Chaoz we need more Kens out there lol.
Yeah that match up still bothers me its like, how do I get close fast enough to do some damage but not eat fireballs? Because theres no way in hell your getting in through the air…and you can’t just sit back and spray fireballs all day because your gonna lose it really is something trying to wait for a mistake…when you know one isn’t gonna come.

lol step kick once and jump over fireballs with the life lead
kens anti zoning sucks ef that matchup.
I was friggen depressed when i saw that. Not only was the ken flowchart, the blanka didn’t know wtf he was doing either @@. Great first day of evo weeding out the weak. --’
Thanks for posting this and good job Chaos! Damn that match up was tough. But i did see solid footsies going on and cross up fake combos. lp lp tick throw was sweet and the fadc through fb throws. I do have a question though for all the ken players out there. In the vid, Chaos was pretty still (not moving back anf forth) when he attempt the cross up fakes. He would take one step back and wait and then jump in. I personally like to walk back and forth because I feel that it would mix the opponent more. Are there any advantages that one method holds over the other?

it just takes alot of experience to flow back and forth while still being able to defend. i know for myself i’m just learning a stick and when i start dancing in and out of footsie range i get stuffed alot because i get caught moving forward, or i just cant block intime.
Hey Chaos,
mind sharing how you felt about going up against Daigo? Also what’d you think of the guy?
Thanks for your thought. Well I’m specifically talking about after you knocked down an opponent and dancing in and out to make them guess whether you are going for cross up or a frontal jump in. So in a way it is kinda safer to dance around?
Chaos did sick in his bracket he took out two top Sagats.
You mean like a ?
It just looked like Daigo knew his ground game. Solid normals - he abused the cr. mk. He zoned with Hadou’s, and seemed to know that all of Chaos’ step-kicks would fall short, cause he’d sweep him off most attempts. More footsies would’ve helped, as Justin showed in the finals.
Also, Daigo linking 3x cr. lp -> st. lp -> cr. rh was nasty. That’s just fundamentals kids.
