Hey, a couple of my friends and I are looking to run some side tourneys because what’s a major without side tourneys, am I right?
So far I think we’ll try to run side tourneys for:
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Street Fighter Ex 2 +
Vampire Savior
King of Fighters 2002 UM
King of Fighters 98
They’ll all be ran on a PS2 and I know that a couple of people have PS2 sticks, but it would be nice if you brought your own PS2 sticks too!
How do I sign up? Also should I bring my arcade stick? I mean the game (ssf4) is being runned on a PS3, i have a xbox arcade stick … Do you have arcades sticks there for people that don’t bring theres? Let me know.

Dualmod is your best bet, but it’s expensive. Otherwise, find a friend who has one.

Hey Citi, I’ll be there on Saturday for singles. I work Friday night and live in R.I. so won’t make it for teams but I’ll be there for singles and will be able to stay thru Sunday. I’m sure Rico will be there too. Thanks for running this and I’ll be training for it.
Yo andy, what day would look like the best day for us to run the side games? obviously not a day that super is going on, but we were talking/thinking about friday? how late can we stay in the event room, and how many setups will be there friday?
there will be someone at the tourney named Gummowned. he duel modds sticks for $80 which is your best bet cause those converters are horrible and its the same price

Can we use the Madcatz fightpads in the tournament ? and if so does the 360 fightpad work on the PS3 ? The fightpad has an USB connection at the end so I’m wondering if it will work on a PS3.
Where do we stand with UMK3 at this? I may be able to get the UMK3 guys to bring a nice setup for this to do a huge amount of casuals and a UMK3 tournament as well. I’m more than sure that we’ll want to get together for another tournament. I can’t be there because I volunteer that weekend, but let me know and we’ll get some guys out there for you.
