^ they cannot set it that way cause its a 360 console not an arcade cab. there is no way for the game to regulate when one game is over. but the o.g’s would understand this format now that has been implemented.
when ppl run tourneys at an arcade, sometimes the owner would let you put the game in event mode. event mode is when you get game over on both sides no matter who won the match. this was best b/c when another match has to be played you dont have to kill the character off. however, when casuals are being done before or after the tourney, the winner would stay on the game and the loser would get off. the challenger would pay for both sides. its not the winners fault that they had to pay. it would be the same price as it being in the normal format anyway (ex. if its 50 cents per player in normal mode it would be 25 cents per pleyer in event mode. so your still paying the same price)
so if you think about it this way (traditional) is better than watching noobs hog the machine for 12 minutes while playing even if they lose.
That system is much better for tournaments.
