From what I’ve observed, the only time I’ve seen people own gun, is when they had a license, were part of a hunting association, and were hunting. The person also told he “declared his firearms to the police station every month”. What that means I don’t know.

Gaming does not have a holy book of rules which also contains genocidal text, which one can choose to ignore while another can choose to accept, and since it’s in the holy book it’s as valid as it can be. So any attempt to even compare gaming to religion is ludicrous.
For some reason no one in the Abrahamic religions kicks the holy book to the curve and writes a new, clear one instead. It’s very convenient to keep it vague and do whatever you feel like doing based on “interpretation”. There is no “real X” and “fake X” since it’s all holy book + what you wanted to do with it anyway. You can’t “fight extremists” without addressing the very fundamentals of faith and “offend” the moderates in the process. Not possible. You can’t attack the validity of my personal god that tells me to murder people without also attacking the validity of any other personal god.

Just like in that lame Gamergate thread, you say one thing but all I see is the opposite. The vast majority of the posts in this thread are “Kill all the muslims! Who cares if they weren’t involved in this, they still deserve to die!” with the monkeys all cheering each other on for being “brave” in stating that.
It figures the people that support Gamergate and paint themselves at victims would then come into this thread, play the victims some more and demand the death of some more minorities. Hating women and minorities is a pretty cliche combination.

Which is another good point of criticism against religion- If something is so great then why do you need to force people to accept it at gunpoint?
And if something defends his religion exactly because he’s forced to, it’s a good reason to not take his stance seriously, as it’s not really his own.
