i forgot to say this, but a few points about everyone trying to amp up the whole concealed carry shit
-
in the midst of smoke, terror, and confusion, i dont want some wanna be hero shooting me on accident because he thinks hes a pro shooter because he can shoot cans in broad daylight under proper “normal” conditions.

even in a concealed carry state, the amount of people who probably have guns on them might at best be 2-3 for that 12am showing, and who knows where they are going to sit. if anything they are probably paranoid type people so they will either be in the back cut waiting for something to pop off, or right near one of the 2-4 exits, unless its a big theatre that has an upstairs exit with stairs and an elevator.

if lets say this concealed carrier only could get a seat in the middle, and this dude comes in doing what he does, that person is better off trying to escape then try to play hero and get shot, shoot someone else on accident when trying to shoot the shooter, or by falling when getting pushed by a mob of scared motherfuckers and his gun goes off while in his hand.
im just sayin, lets not sit here and front that if even two concealed carriers were there, they woulda been doing anything but trying to get the fuck out of there. at best, yes, if they were in the blind seats (from the projector to maybe 30 feet back, and had a good seat where they couldve popped up, taken aim, and fired on him before he could do anything, that would be great. lets just hope his first shot in a dark theatre is perfect, because the guy had on body armor also, which depending on what he got shot by, will still knock you on your ass, or at least take a knee, but if not and he missed, shit mightve turned even worse.
the fact of the matter is, through a horrendous act of violence, this young man showed once again how severely open we all are to this type of shit, and we need to be more acute to react quickly to odd behaviour, and not just sit around thinking the cops will save us, or no one is going to do anything that crazy here. granted his behaviour wasnt outrageously odd, but as reports said, a lot of people kinda just sat there like uhhhh, is this a part of the show or a prank, rather then hauling ass. i dont know, i think different. real talk, im constantly analyzing my environment even when it seems im just enjoying myself and not paying attention, and im fully prepared to give up on a meal, movie, date, ect… if i think something might get too real and put me in danger.
i mean, ive left places just because people are about to fight, because you know what, maybe that will escalate and someone pulls out a knife or a gun, or comes back with a gun, and just in general its not worth it to stick around situations that your intuition is screaming, LEAVE, in. im not trying to shit on anyone there, but its crazy that something as small as pulling the door closed behind this guy wouldve saved all those lives, injuries, and general trauma, or dare i say, hell, if someone was bold enough to as soon as he saw him walk through the door, just attack him before he could even prepare his onslaught.
i mean, the dude didnt even come to do work. not to sound psychotic, but i mean he came in, tossed the grenades, shot in the air, and then started shooting people, then after getting caught, told the police his apt was bobby trapped. like he would be a joke of a wanna be killer in the comics he clearly wanted to imitate in real life by calling himself the joker.
