Previous shirts have only lasted about two weeks, but this is going up quite a ways before non-denominational holiday season comes to an end so it might last longer.
By forcing developers to release a game (or DLC) simultaneously on XBox and PS3, or forcing them to significantly improve the game before it comes out on XBox if it was released on PS3 first, Microsoft can maintain a market edge. Consumers can be confident that if they have a 360, any game which is cross-platform will be available on 360 on release day, or will be “way better” than the PS3 version when it does come out on 360. MS can do this because they are in the lead sales-wise, so developers want to make games for the 360 because of the bigger user base.
Developers hate this policy - it really is an abuse of power - but devs also aren’t willing to say anything publicly because Microsoft is a large corporation and you have to go through them to put a game out on 360, so they can retaliate in subtle ways like “accidentally” misplacing a build you submit or even just taking weeks longer than normal to approve something.
So what you’re saying is, sell my xbox and buy a playstation? Ok.
This hahaha, the Xbox 360 its my first M$ console and the last one, region lock, bunch oh generics FPS, and delays like SG patch, and finally you have to pay for play online.

This isn’t 100% true. If you try to pick the same color for your character as your opponent already has used, you’ll know one character they’re using. I’ve run into this with Valentine’s color 13 and Ms. Fortune’s color 5. It’s an amusing information leak, even though it’s not likely enough to be a big deal.

Actually no, if Sony had the same requirement, games that wanted to be cross-platform would…come out on the same day on both systems. Just like they have to now. It’d just get rid of the ability to come out on XBox first. :^P

Oh, looks like I learn every day…
I thank everyone who replied; I don’t mean to seem ignorant because I love my xbox, but I don’t have the depth of insite that others (Mike Z and etc.) would have as to HOW they work things. As i type now, I am using a PC so I realize that M$ is in basically eveything, but i still question how they run their video game industry… the “simultaneous release” just seems like a “oh, we will get there when we get there” cop-out to me… is all.
but again, i admit that i am only speculating on what “could be” the reason that i do not have the patch… and more.
