(11/20 PSN!) SG: Slightly Different Edition patch notes

Hey Mike, best way to practice pushblock guard cancel stuff?

Considering the state of DLC characters right now, why bother asking?

@ Mr. X, vs. either Cerebella s.HP->Cerecopter or Filia cr.MK(5)->cr.HP or s.HP.

Oh my god. I finally got to installing the patch and had a set of games online. 198 ping and it was still completely playable. The other guy was landing full multiple restand combos while I sat there and flailed around with my lack of practice.

There were a few rollbacks of course, but we happily went through ten games.

I can barely use Skype on my connection.

This is amazing.

Really the netcode is so good? Better than the first Blazblue?

I have honestly never seen netcode this good.

I have never used GGPO on PC though, so I can’t compare against that. (and that’s not a jab against Oil R - I actually haven’t so I don’t know how good it can be)

Is it better than hdr and sfxt the first BB… Er… Thats about it, hdr had the best netcode ive ever played.

I am well aware of the situation. This is merely of a conceptual/hypothetical nature. But fair enough.

BB still uses variable delay netcode.

Outside with an assault rifle.

So just to be clear, is it because of some fee Microsoft makes devs have to pay to patch their games on Xbox that’s holding it up or is Microsoft just doing certification or something? I know you’re tired of patch questions but I wanna play with the new stuff too >_<

The patch is submitted, any money that has to be paid is on their bankaccounts, and Msoft is just randomly wanking instead of approving the patch in sub 2 months.

Microsoft dont allow games or content be on Xbox Live if these games or contents are in other service before them, thats why a lot of games get a release first on Xbox Live, and thats why the DLC colors are delayed for the PSN for example

If that’s true, it’s the new dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

Its true, maybe sometimes a game or content can be on PSN a day before Xbox Live because of the dates they update the PSN store or the Marketplace, but you cant release an old game on Xbox Live because of this, unless you do a “special edition” or something like that.

My brain hurts. What exactly do they gain from this?

My question is:

When ms finally does approve the patch, will they tell lab zero and autumn like sony did or will they just release it?

i think this helps?

It forces an even playing field for exactly this situation. If they released on PS3 first a lot of people would immediately buy them on PS3 and then ignore the 360 release, which takes sales off MS.

I’m not defending it, but that’s why it’s there.

If someone owns both a PS3 and an XBox and only plans to buy only one of …whatever… (a certain game, or in this case if he owns the game on both consoles - dlc colours) it’s more likely for him to buy it where it comes out first. See: XBox owners even seriously thinking about getting a PS3 because they don’t want to wait for the patch.
This means if MSoft takes say, 2 weeks longer for any approval than Sony does, all the monies would go to Sony all the time.

MSoft doesn’t want that, so they go full retard.

Mike will probably know and tell us here. I’m pretty sure MS would give Autumn Games or Labzero a heads up before it goes out.
