How can you can you call this patch Slightly Different? You made some pretty big changes!
Holy Shit! Over 100 comments in 15 hours! I did not expect that… I just… didn’t. I knew the patch would bring back the noise, but I didn’t think it’d be until it dropped (though it sounds like we’ve reached the peak of that particular hill). I just hope I’ll have my stuff set up for the first day it drops (proud of buying 360 SG day one).
My prediction: Skullgirls will be back with a VENGEANCE when the patch drops. And then it’ll cool off like it did this time, but with a larger minimum loyal player base than before, then PC port will excite again when that drops, and then it’ll cool off with an even larger loyal player base (on top of people who migrate because the PC/PS3 crossplay is awesome as shit). And then by the time the game is about to cool off again, trailers for Squigly (my guess/wish for first character) will bring the hype, and by that time the game will be louder than when it first came out. From there, the faithful (us) shall be rewarded with a much easier and funner time of loving SGs. Once the first male character comes out, we will be able to check off one of the biggest problems off of the “Things To Make People Play” list.
Hopefully, as this is too far away to predict, that SGs will actually be able to get a disc release. It seems like, in the end, disc releases may be cheaper (though I have no idea really), and I’d also love to have a disc and box with art from Ahad directly on it.
My wish for the first dlc would be a random male one so the trolls and “I’d totally play this but there’s no males” have to think up a new scapegoat reason as to why they dislike the game.
It would be such a wonderful thing to watch~
Maybe the “I can’t play three male characters at the same time” protest would come to light. Or maybe they’ll just fall back on the old-as-time protest of “this game has horrible art”. That excuse has been used for nearly every game I’ve been around for (since 2008 with sf4).
What I’m looking forward to is the Maximillian play-through of the patch. He loves to pick games back up when something new hits, and that’ll give the game a pick-me-up in terms of players for a quick minute, and hopefully more of them will stick this time.
Yeah I can see that, that excuse is just so overplayed, yet people think it’s still a viable argument 
And I really hope that Maximillian decides to pick up the game again to talk about the patch, so we can at least have people gain some interest again.
They’ll just complain by saying that the one guy doesn’t appeal to them. Eventually they’ll fall back on the same criticisms lots of people have about BB where no one has any appeal even though there are multiple guys. Some people honestly are waiting for the guys and they’ll be happy about the new male character though.
James Chen and Ultradavid would be far better. They did a couple of fantastic shows on Skullgirls when it came out that drew over three thousand simultaneous viewers. Their last big show of the season was a five hour Guilty Gear intro last night that went into detail about all of GG’s mechanics and even included a character overview for everyone in the cast. The last thing Max did was some online battles and story mode plays. It was pretty lukewarm.
BB is a plethora of amazing characters. There’s like no character that ISN’T amazing. 
So… how much time to wait?

Well when you put it that way, I do agree. When I watched that, it had like 1000+ people watching. Of course I didn’t stay for the whole thing cause I’m not really a Guilty Gear player (Though I do like playing it sometimes).
Still proud if the patch comes out on PS3 first? :^P
