(11/20 PSN!) SG: Slightly Different Edition patch notes

I don’t know why you guys try look for dates from anyone but Mike Z or Ravidrath.

Don’t group everyone together with a jackass.

Also… my brain may have unlocked someone’s identity.

I wouldn’t call him a jack@$$…maybe a twat-waffle, though.

I would join you in coming up with creative/innovative insults… but I don’t want to get yelled at.

Gamersgate date is placeholder (initially wrote palaceholder), sorry.

Anything with a lifebar stops the diamond. Lenny has a lifebar, as do assists and Egrets.

[edit] Patch is coming to both consoles - the initial point of it was to fix PS3 matchmaking and 360 loading times.

So Gamersgate is a palaceholder, now? Those bastards.

How the fuck is it better to choose a gendered insult over a universal one?

Mike, I do have a small question.

First let me state that I don’t really care if it gets changed but it does puzzle me quite a bit.

When Fortune IADs into any j.L, j.MK ()2 hits) xx qcb+LK, the qcb+LK is now stage 3 instead of still being a jump-in (stage 1), so when I land whatever follows is stage 5 already. But if I skip the j.MK and go from a light into qcb+LK, it’s still stage 2.

Moreover, if I do j.MP instead of j.MK it’s still stage 2.

If I hit any j.H with the intention of dropping after the second hit of j.MK so I can land and combo, the stage skips to 3 in the air, so it’s a 5 when I land. If I cancel the FIRST hit of j.MK into anything, then it properly stays as stage 1, then I land into a stage 2.

I’m confused. Why does this happen with just the second hit of j.MK?

Which reminds me…

…never search “blue waffle” in Google Images with SafeSearch off.

I’ll see if everyone’s cool with this, sure.

Won’t get fixed, but I can explain why it happens.
Turn on advanced hitboxes, so you can see object root points - the dot between anyone’s feet when standing. Do IAD j.L->j.MK. Notice your root point goes below the floor. (That’s a thing started by XSF, which allows things like Magneto’s trijump RH to hit crouching characters. It is noticeably absent in MvC3, which is why ducking is a decent defense against trijumps. It is also absent in BB, and other games made by teams that ::ahem:: anyway…)
Now, the axekick doesn’t let your root go below the floor, which means when you do it from j.MK you’ve already “landed” since your root is at ground level. The axekick inherits your Y-velocity, which j.MK makes zero so she doesn’t end up sinking at all during the axe kick, and it also floats her upward just a teensy bit at the end. Since you’ve already “landed”, the float up just before the hit puts you “back in the air” and therefore the axekick hits as your next air combo rather than your jumpin.

Eh. :^)

Totally off topic: Its because twat-waffle just sounds hilarious.

Hey guys feel free to report Oil R for being a shithead.

Seriously~

Ok no problem with that.

Thought I was the only one who wanted to pick up Valentine simply for the fact that she’s going to have a Sheena color. =P

Had I known I would’ve been more excited to play as her (ToS is one of my fave Tales games) but alas, Fortune gets Morrigan and Blue Mary.

Blue Mary > Sheena

Been a fan of Blue Mary MUCH longer than Sheena. Plus I can pretend Fortune’s level 3 is M. Typhoon :stuck_out_tongue:

Where I come from, anyone can be a twat waffle and anyone can be a dick; i.e. it IS universally applicable where I am. We have specific connotations for it and Oil R’s behavior fit the bill better.

Yo at first when he first appeared I was like yo Chibi you outta line, don’t be calling him names, he just loves him some Skullgirls.

But now, yeah, you were right:coffee:

Guys Im not a native english speaker so I dont know whats wrong with me this time, I only asked a thing in a good manner and I will not ask nothing more.

Relax. You’re part of the community now. Part of that involves being given crap for your…tendencies. Just say “thank you” every now and then and every thing is peachy.

p.s. too much of a good thing is bad

Many thanks for at least looking into it
