I’ll gladly donate if that’s what has to be done. I’m guessing openly entertaining that notion would ruffle some corporate feathers, though.
Heck, I’m a cheap bastard who buys most of his games on sale. The sole exception during the last few years was skullgirls. Bought it full price because of how much I loved seeing it played. Now that its in my hands and I still love it, I’d gladly put some money in a kick starter. I’m usually broke but I’d definitely pitch in whenever I have some loose bills burning a hole in my pocket.
i think we should see if we can get a comment from mike Z about the whole kickstarter thing. it may not even be necessary/realistic etc etc etc.

I think a Kickstarter could be a great way to gauge the amount of interest in SkullGirls. It would also allow people that genuinely love the game to assist in it’s development. Perhaps it might even surprise the big-wigs?
That said I’ve had such a blast with SkullGirls. Enough so that I finally took the chance on traveling 5 hours to my first ever tourney just to play it with others. I don’t want to see the game disappear anytime soon… And after purchasing both the PS3 and 360 versions there isn’t much else I can do directly other than try/fail to pimp the game out to the rest of my friends.

I know I’m more than ready to throw down cash to continue support of my new favorite fighting game.
I know it’s not going to happen, but I really wish we knew more about who/why money hasn’t switched hands. I mean, Reverge/Autumn knew they’d be paying for a patch to fix the European connection issues, so what led to the change of heart (if that’s what’s going on)? I really like this game, and am still playing despite the lack of a patch, but I was/am really excited to get my hands on the slightly different edition.
For the record, I’d totally pitch in for a kickstarter fund as long as we had a guaranteed release if the goal was met. Though part of me worries that the suits might decide to further delay the patch if they start to think they can just get us to pay for it. They did sell /at least/ 50000 copies after all.

Why all the kickstarter talk when whoever the issue is with is still clearly in business with them (hence the inability to elaborate).

Clearly, patch issues are being sorted out by Mike Z and co. Just play the current build and be patient.

Well, if it was dead in the water and not going to happen, Mike Z would probably say something seeing how he’s been responding so frequently to posts. He said there’s a hang up that’s being sorted out, then it’s being sorted out. Stop worrying about it and play.
I believe this is overreacting because the statement from Mike Z was still pretty vague for any clear conclusions. However, with that being said, little news about the state on Skullgirls is not helping this current predicament
When a person says ‘Can’t talk about the situation’ it’s generally a good idea to accept that and not lament about why they can’t. Because all you’ll do is frustrate said person.
I though we all accepted to just chill the fuck out for awhile anyway ans be patient? I know its taboo to ask about the patch now also, since we basically spam-fucked Mike’s brain on the release date for it. So why are we breaking the taboo now as if there is some kind of special occasion that makes it okay?
I’m just playing Persona and some PC games in the mean time.
I typed up a more wordy post describing how I feel about this, but I just don’t care enough to bother at this point because I have no idea if it’s even safe to post in this thread right now. The fact that the game doesn’t even have international play for Europeans after three months is insane. Mike and the rest of Reverge did their jobs so this is not about them anymore.
For every day the patch isn’t released I’m going to take a cat or kitten and slice open its belly in front of Dravidian who will be tied to a chair. I will then scoop out the intestines, kidneys, and other various organs within the cat onto Dravidian’s face and force him to eat them, with the threat that if he doesn’t I will simply slice open the bellies of more cats (and he has to eat all the collective organs to make me stop repeating the act).
Mark my words.
