The way custom assists are set only includes moves that can be done by the character on the ground at all times. Meaning no air moves, no followups to other moves, and it doesn’t store inputs for moves the character can’t do normally.
Since Fortune doesn’t have a dp+HP she can’t possibly set dp+HP as her assist, regardless of whether she could do it headless.
Although it would be somewhat hilarious, dp+LK and df+HP seem to be better assists than dp+HP, since the position of the head can’t really be controlled by the point character otherwise.

If only this were true. Unfortunately, mike left us very cryptic info. There is no guarantee that the patch will EVER come out. We’re basically waiting for a business of some sort to pay another business of some sort 10000 or so on an investment that is looking more and more like its made all the money its going to… And in that case what business would want to invest 10 grand into a sinking ship?
Im thinking undisclosed entities are thinking this same exact way OR they simply lack the funds…

That certainly is annoying. And frustrating and disheartening. It really is a shame.
It certainly doesn’t look good. But I’m thinking (hoping) that at the very least the patch will be released with the DLC characters (so they only have to pay for one update, while also increasing possible revenue) or maybe after the PC release… Or maybe none of that is even coming anymore. If so I’ll cry.
I think free dlc characters is *reeaaally *pushing it. I would sure as heck love it, but the patch is already in certification or pre-certification. It would be a ridiculous amount pf pressure to get a properly balanced dlc character in the game within a short amount of time. That being said, in the case they do decide to do that, they would need to do a crap ton of pr and advertizing because that really would bring in more players, i.e. payers; however, whether the profit they’d make would be greater than just selling it as dlc is questionable.
In any case, I’m about to go on a rampage. For every day this undisclosed party doesnt pay a motha lovin other undisclosed party I will force a busty young lady to cosplay as Cerabella (preferably) against her will. I shall then proceed to force her to faithfully and realistically re-inact ultimate show stopper. When ever she fails she shall be motorboated (preferably) against her will.

sorry, I didn’t mean to imply that the DLC characters would be released for free (that would completely surprise me). What I meant was that they could submit the DLC (paid) and patch at the same time. That way they don’t have to pay for each update separately (I’m pretty sure the DLC counts as an update that they have to pay for, just like the patch), and they have the added bonus of getting money from the DLC, which would help ease the mind of whoever doesn’t want to pay for the patch at the moment. Any extra game sales from releasing the patch would just be gravy. Hope that clears it up.
