I like this speculation.
How come Madcatz don’t sell their sticks in Canada? The only way we could get those here is via 3rd party sellers and they’re so overpriced. I thought there was going to be some kind of promotion during Canada Cup tourney but nothing happened.
Contest only through Twitter and at the venue.
Dude, Canada customs didn’t even let Spooky in the country without having him fork over a hundred dollars for some kind of permit or form to stream the event. I can’t imagine what kind of problems setting up shop in Canada would involve.
I’m overpriced? It’s cost dude. You know how expensive canada post shipping is? Infact I lose time and money driving to point roberts to pick these things up and then make them as cost feasible as possible to help people up here.
And I’m still cheaper than most retailers.
edit: had to break it down.
100 USD for the stick
5 USD dollars for paypal fee
~20 CAD dollars for shipping
~3 USD dollars for the post office fee
1 hour and 30 minutes of my day
woopty do. I made 2 dollars. Infact sometimes I lose a dollar or 2 because the shipping is a little more.
I should just start building sticks.
you need a work visa when you enter any country. If I wanted to do streaming in the USA (just as an example) the company hiring me would have to prove to the USA government that there is noone else in the country that could provide them the service right now.
I don’t know who you might be but I did not mention your name or anyone’s name whatsoever so calm down. And by 3rd party sellers I meant 3rd party retailers, if that confused you then you should be aware that most people prefer/tend to buy from retailers for the warranty in case anything goes bad.
So MarkMan any news from MadCatz if they’re ever planning to sell their sticks in Canada like they did last year via NCIX? Or are there issues that’s holding them back?
they have it at tigerdirect.ca
Just got my Chun Li stick from the SCR sale, thanks MarkMan! Pics do not do the stick justice… Didn’t even realize the Chun Li pic is holographic til I saw it in person.
Glad you like it.
BTW guys. Hate to be a party pooper but, this is most likely the last promo like this until next year.
I know it’s a bit late notice but yeah, best times for the Holiday gift shopping…
Well that sucks. I prefer SE over TE (when it’s sanwa’d up) since it’s so portable. Gonna stock up on a few then.
Hey markman, this deal sounds like a great opportunity for me to finally get a decent TE stick, but I have a question. A friend just told me that people prefer the round 1 TE sticks than the round 2, and thats because in some cases the R2 have a defective system board. Care to ellaborate on this please?
Thanks in advance.
No idea what they’re talking about.
Difference between R1 and R2 is purely aesthetic.
A friend of mine missed the $29 SE/SF4 combo the other day and he’s probably just gonna spring for a TE now. Thanks for posting this.
Thats exactly what I’m doing. I’d rather it be this way, I figured the cost to buy and ship parts to upgrade the SE would come to somewhere near the price of this TE.
Bonus: Warranty stays intact for longer than right after I open the box hah.
Ther’s any chanche for european peopole to benefits some of these great offers ?
When is a new TE fighstick cheapest? I really want one but i dont wanna spend over $75

Then go to the trading outlet and see if anybody is willing to let one go used. Typically $100 is the as cheap as it gets for a new TE from retail. The cheapest I’ve seen one go for is $80 shipped.
