Hey guys. I just moved to the area and will probably be attending this. What is the lockin thing? Would that let you play all night? will fighting gamers be there for that or just PC people? thanks in advance and I hope to see you there
a bunch of different people attend. kids who get dropped off by their parents, smash player, fighting gamers, maybe some pc gamers, and a few of us play some poker. its a great time if u decide to join. u can even get in on the chicken match if u like. and yeah its all night.
i got you david. lock in starts at 9 pm but not many people get there at 9. just try to get to vienna metro station any time around 9 pm. and you’ll have to text me, I’m having cell phone issues atm.

get off at chinatown and yaou are one block away from the apex bus

Here’s a stupid question from someone new to the DC area. Do I need to bring a stick? Cause, well, I don’t have one yet. (I’ll probably have to buy one to play around here, but I’m used to arcades.)
That said, anyone have an extra US stick I can 1) borrow 2) purchase for the cheap? I can work on it myself if it needs some fixing up.

To answer your stupid question (hey you said it) would be…yes. This is probably another one of those questions that’s better answered by one of the tourney organizers but…generally with the stricter rules that have been put into effect for the tourneys it’s advised to bring your own stuff. There’s not as much tolerance for stuff like “dude has my stick and he’s in winners finals so I can’t play for like 20 minutes”.
If you’re just coming to play casuals then it’s no big deal since someone’s bound to let you borrow their stick and you’re not really holding anything up. The difference is when tourney time comes and you keep tourneys from running because you borrowing some other guy’s stick.
