1000Health is the "average" stamina? Oddly untrue!

I dislike the trend. I don’t like the philosophy behind glass cannon characters, especially if they’re the majority.

Ive been thinking heavily about this lately. I hope they give her at least a 50pt health boost ;[

I don’t think that’s likely to happen. Makoto only got her increase I think because of the precedent that 3s set for her. Her having 950 was stupid originally.

How is that NOT sexism?

I don’t need to theorize this to say that not all “chick(s)” aren’t faster, quicker (same thing?)

The idea is that if you look at a large group of athletes at their highest level then on average the men will be faster/more agile than the women. However this is ignoring individual achievements and instead looking at averages, and it is assuming everyone is at the peak possible performance.

You can’t take 1 woman and 1 man at random from top level athletic competitions and say “The woman isn’t as good” without looking at the stats. Because they might in fact be better than the man. You CAN however look at the AVERAGES of a large group of women and a large group of men and show that there is a statistical difference.

anyways we should get back on topic about how the average/normal health level for characters has dropped from each iteration of SF4 and how technically now characters such as Ryu would be considered “above average” and characters like Yun shouldn’t be considered “glass cannons” by comparison to what the average is.

yes that is essentially why people need to elaborate instead of punching their keyboards, I took into account what people were trying to say.

Is a poor statement which I’m getting slapped on because we’re apparently looking into athletes somehow?

My first post much higher up doesn’t mention averages, yet females in this game in particular aren’t varied enough and are considered weak, far below average. This game isn’t based around real life so you can’t reflect that much on how they should be balanced on their gender, Capcom didn’t take into consideration that people like playing female characters (because that group exists) and they all are too similar in size and firepower per-se.
