Yo, I’m no Clockw0rk but my Doom is no slouch. Quit tellin lies Frank.
what the fuck
I don’t recall saying that. But you should try out running the team as Wolverine/Doom/Magneto. I think Doom is more fitting as a second character.
What is everyones opinions to higher entries, at least for the marvel side?
The entry isn’t the issue. It’s size of the turnouts. Not saying they’re bad, just implying that if they were bigger the payouts would be larger, obviously.
Like how much higher? Teams at 10 a team seems fine. For singles nothing higher than $10. But yeah what Yzae B said. Need more people.
Thanks for the upload slash.
I don’t think entry fees need to be any higher. higher entry fees def won’t attract more people and if you added like 1 dollar to the entry fee, and its a 16 man tournament that’d be like getting 2 more peoples worth of entries. But you could possibly lose people from this as well.
raising the entry fees is a bad idea IMO - if the entries was a lot higher then maybe - but I can see this netting less people and less money for each tournament. People who WOULD enter 3 different tournaments might only enter 1 with raised prices.
Word, 7 is just such a strange number haha, but I’ll roll with it for now
I thought MvC was lower than sf4 because a portion of the sf4 pot was going into the league pot, with that said. I don’t agree with a marvel increase until their is a league but technically it wouldn’t be that much of an increase as much as just money going to the champions.
Honestly i think the world is crazy, economy goes down entry fee’s go up. We should have a fuck the econ tourney like once a month or every other. Do like a 2 dollar buy in for each game not only that but that could be an easy way for newer guys to get into the tournament seen with out risking as much. Mainly i feel that’s what newer kids are afraid of they know they aren’t the best and 7~10 plus door is kind of alot of money for someone that hasn’t had much experience in a tournament scene. when i was new to the scene it was hard for me to justify going to tournaments because i knew i was donating to the pot but i had heart and didn’t care because i wanted to be the best that i could be. most new people don’t have this mentality after being bodied.
so with all that information that i have given you make your own judgement but if you want to increase numbers in tournaments people need to help people get better or as they say “it takes a village to raise a child”.
Noted and taking it into consideration.
I liked it when it was 3 dollar 3s, marvel, and a3 tournaments.
ErMack-inzie makes a good point.

So is this still going on on the same day as SRB 3
Hey everyone, so I just updated the first posting. I changed the date because SRB3 and Sakura Con are both that weekend. Also, I just want to throw this out here as well
PLEASE BE AT THIS EVENT ON TIME. I WILL BE AT THE VENUE AT 11 AM AND REGISTRATION BASICALLY WILL BE FROM THEN UNTIL 1 OR 1:30.
**
ALSO, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING A FULL SETUP, YOUR VENUE FEE WILL BE WAIVED**
Hey guys, some, if not all of you have seen my postings on facebook, but with the new push of the streaming, as well as majority of videos being posted to Youtube, as well as FADC, I am wanting to change how the stream is running, especially in regards to commentary and what goes on where. This has been cross-posted in like 4 threads just so ya’ll know.
So first off, I know we all are at a lot of the same events here in the NW. So with that being said, I’m looking for people that are interested in commentating. I have thought about this a lot, and also consulted with a few people, and I believe that getting “teams” to commentate, so basically cover four matches then you can take the time to smoke, play your games or whatever, AND THEN when top 8 rolls around, run one of three scenarios.
A) Two man team commentating all of top 8, I would prefer it not change.
B) Two man team commentates till the top 4, then a three man team would take over.
C) Two man team commentates till top 4, a different group does till grand finals, then grand finals is a three man team.
The ONLY reason I even bring up the idea of a 3 man team is because there is A LOT of knowledge out there in the community, and it would be great so that everyone could talk and give their knowledge.
Now with all that being said, IF you are interested in commentary, I please ask that you try to keep it fairly PG-13 and directed to what is happening on screen. I can understand that in hype moments you may drop a word or two you didn’t mean to, but that is what happens, I would prefer with future streams and commentary, that the language is kept in control. On top of that, please don’t bring personal feelings into your commentary of “F this player” or anything like that and it is prefered if you don’t go “Player X should do this right now” loud enough so its basically like you are coaching the player.
I also want you to know that unless I’ve told you that you can be on commentary, or that its essentially your time to commentate, please don’t just walk over and pick up the headset, IF you want to do commentary then ASK ME first. If I am not there, then wait until I get back.
The Events that I know I’m covering, that will need commentary are
Gameclucks - 4/16
MHC Presents the 3rd Salty Runback - 4/23
Epic Khaos - 4/30
Epic Khaos - 5/21
Battle For Seattle - 5/28-29
And I’m sure there will be another gameclucks and TSR between those as well.
If you are interested in doing commentary for any of those events, let me know before hand via PM, Facebook message, text…whatever. Just the more I know in advance the easier things will be come event time. Things will be flawless and I will be able to know who is commentating when it comes time to upload.
